I didn't realize they were still developing this since there hasn't been a release in 6 years I wish they'd release a damn update in the next year or so
I don't think it's actually in development anymore, or if it is then there hasn't been any releases I've seen. But shortly after making this video I stumbled across Strawberry (strawberrymusicplayer.org) which is a fork of Clementine that's been actively developed! It's missing a some features, but overall it's been good for me :)
I personally love it but the interface is a bit old school. If that's not a problem for you then yes I'd recommend it :) Frankly I don't work too much with flac files, but Strawberry does support it.
Btw, if you're interested in Clementine but want something that's actively maintained, then go check out Strawberry strawberrymusicplayer.org ! It's a fork of Clementine whose main focus is keeping it updated for newer platforms and libraries, and works pretty well for me!
just 2 reasons not to used it: 1. there are at least a couple of more instances of the same software called differently on the same flatpak repository 2. poor when compared to audacious
1. I'm not sure what you mean there are multiple instances of Clementine on flathub? 2. Yeah, Clementine's definitely a bit rough these days compared to other audio players since it hasn't seen a stable release in several years, but I still love it :)
