Can Jasper write technical engineering documents like reports, essays etc ??

So in the process of writing the article I suppose Jasper is doing the necessary research. Would it be possible to ask if to put footnotes for that research? Could you tell it where to get the information from? Could it compare information from different sources?

So it's my understanding that although it has read a TON of documents and websites, the main goal of that was for it to train its parameters to understand how language is constructed if that makes sense. It doesn't necessarily know what information to "trust" more than other info, and it will make up statistics or facts that sound true but aren't. That said, it "knows" more about popular documents since they are discussed more in books and websites. And it seems like you can also feed Jasper context to specific research papers by priming it with the paper's citation, then you can ask for a summary. So it probably depends on how well-known the info is. You can always copy and paste the info into Jasper to provide context too. Not sure if providing web links to Jasper for context works as expected.
I fed this command to Jasper:
"Write a summary of the declaration of independence and cite your sources for that information."
      Jasper's response:
"The Declaration of Independence is a document that formally states the reasons for the American Revolution and the colonies' break from British rule. The document was written by Thomas Jefferson and edited by the Continental Congress. The main points of the document are that all men are created equal and have certain rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that governments are instituted to protect these rights; and that when a government does not do this, it is the right of the people to overthrow it. The Declaration of Independence was an important step in creating the United States of America.
      Sources:
      www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/declaration.html
      www.ushistory.org/declaration/signers/"
      Then, I tried this:
Primer info: "Ahn, S., Kim, K., Jung, J. et al. Large and pristine films of reduced graphene oxide. Sci Rep 5, 18799 (2015). doi.org/10.1038/srep18799"
Command:" Write a summary of the research paper titled "Large and pristine films of reduced graphene oxide."
      Jasper's Response:
"This research paper discusses the creation of large and pristine films of reduced graphene oxide. By using a low-pressure CVD technique, the researchers were able to create films with a high degree of purity and large size. The reduced graphene oxide films exhibited excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as good mechanical strength. This suggests that these films could be used in a variety of applications, such as energy storage and thermal management."

@@onlinebusinesstech thanks for the reply and the effort to research it - didn't expect that. Now I'm wondering how good it might be at taking a complex subject matter and breaking it down into simpler concepts with a simpler language, or at least have all the terms well defined. I'm not suggesting you do that. I will get a free trial using your link. I'm just a bit concerned about giving my card details, if it will be a hassle to cancel after 5 days.

Jasper actually has a special template called “Explain to a five year old” or some like that. It’s built specifically for what you’re describing. And as far as being apprehensive about the credit card, I literally just recorded a video this morning (should publish next week or so) about the whole trial process and how to cancel so you don’t get charged, just because I figured a lot of people get worried about that too. It’s actually really easy, there’s a link right in your account settings to cancel. It’s not hidden or anything, and you don’t need to call or jump through hoops. You just need to make sure to cancel before your 5-day period is up.

@@onlinebusinesstech thank you. I'll definitely give it a shot. I'll plan something carefully before signing up.

Hey, I'm wondering how the word limit each month is calculated? Say I get the 50,000 words per month plan. Does that mean once Jasper has written 50,000 words for the month, the I have to wait til next month to ask it to write more for me? Or is it more like once Jasper has written my document and I'm finished with it, then it counts the words. You could use all 50,000 words getting jasper to write and re-write content for one long form post it seems.

Every word that is generated by Jasper counts against your balance, even if you end up deleting them. They used to give you an allowance where you could flag a certain output as "bad output" and they would credit you those words back, up to a certain limit each month. Not sure if they still do that, though.
