Awesome street train! 4 locos & dpu just fab, nice horn blowing too. Nice seeing where the old NY Central track use to be. You really wouldn't know it today. I think the conductor & engineer should get paid the same they both do important jobs. Lovely shot Spike of the conductor riding the back of the train ❤😊👍

That NYC unit at first glance looks one of the old electric P-motors. Really nice catch on a beautiful morning.

Conductor is First in Charge on the Train, makes more Money than an Engineer but has more Physical Work and Responsibilities to Support it. 🤔👍🙏

In general you are right but I've worked properties where they are paid the same. In my early days of operations I much preferred being the conductor than an engineer. But I was trained for both positions. And in some jobs depending on the industry and what we were doing we would sometime switch off during the same job.

Generally the engineer actually makes more than the conductor since it’s seen as a “promotion”

@@yankeesforlife24 Using the term 'generally' as you did that is often the case. Not always but often. In the agreement I manage with UTU crews the conductors were paid more but not by much. But overall in North America I think "Generally" u are right.

Pretty cool catching the NS NYC heritage unit, and learning some RR history as well. Although I don't know if I'd feel safe riding a freight car lol. Nice job.

Real estate value: $0 where your parents [seemingly] have no choice but to set up the equipment to play in the front yard near some railway tracks, lol. 1:30
