I had been really looking forward to life as a Jarl a few months back. Would be interested to see this develop from a smaller Lord to a ruler of a large town with a standing army that ultimately sides with the Imperial Army bringing Hern's story full circle!
@@Sabrasmkk Are you on SE or LE because I think the most updated version is on SE (that you have to get through his patreon thing). It is quite buggy though even after all the updates but i've never had any crashes due to it. Could be a mod conflict.
I know it's probably too late now, but I think "LC_Build Your Noble House" would have been a better choice of mod for this roleplay. With that mod, you would have been able to use your materials to build the different structures. It uses the Hearthfire mechanics like Winstad Mine does. The mod you're using (Build Your Own City - Becoming a Lord) is old, seems to be abandoned, and only 1/3 finished.
At first I thought this was a redo of life as a jarl but im also glad to see Herns series continue Edit: when you do eventually get a kid, adopt that kid in Dawnstar as he “works” at the iron breaker mine and you probably would want your successor to be a miner too
I’ll also add that I think Blackhorn would be more your speed because it’s like a giant hearth fire build where you can gather all the supplies and build everything if you want…. Or just pay coin.
I think that the blackthorn mod would fit this character well. If I remember correctly you can build a town near Riften and eventually become the mayor.

Thanks to the almighty algorithm I just found this episode and therefore your channel. This episode got me hooked to your way of entertaining while playing so no, I don't think this episode was boring but necessary. I'll watch the entire miner series right after finishing this one,that's for sure

You can go to a temple and be cured of diseases by activating the shrine. May cost you something, but it would be quicker. I'm enjoying the vid. Will have to checkout this mod.
As much as i enjoy the action filled series, I'm more of long episodes, a lot of errands to do type, don't mind the travelling around. Keep it up!! Glad to see recurring characters

Hope it’s a long series, chase that septum my-guy-Hern! Goal is to be the richest in Skyrim, richer than the emperor (and maybe finish the series there after you’ve purchased the rivals and influence needed to ascend to the throne 😂).

Hern is the name I have used for most of my skyrim characters. got over 4000 hours in this game. Been playing since 6th grade now I am 20 just about to turn 21
The intro's need a bit of work.!! when you start maybe set up a spot ahead of time, on what your about to do, for this ep 1 , could have started in the office , tell the basic of the story, so your ready too grab the coin after the beginning story , the starting and stopping seems a little glitchy as you looked around the town, the fast movement can make us dizzy. other then that the story telling is good, along with the game play & quest's are super action packed an fun.
Hey what about those women in Kynesgrove, that started logging only to find all the trees were sacred? We should offer to let them log our new land, at a price - and they split the wood with us.
went and tried the mod build your own city because of your video. I've played mostly the LC mods before this - built the village in Falkreath, did the Jarl thing near Ivarstead. This mod is a different approach. My only complaint - I have to buy iron from Dawnstar??!! I own Winstad Mine! I can produce tons of iron ore myself and smelt it into ingots etc. I can chop wood 55 logs in 15 hours. So why am I buying it from Heartwood Mill and Iron breaker mine? I would prefer a building system a bit more like Winstad Mine or Hearthfires. But this is more immersive than the LC mods because the buildings are more basic/realistic when built. But shouldn't there be some gardens and animals? Need to feed this new settlement!

There's an oldrim mod called Bard Instrumenals Only - Sing Upon Request, that puts a welcome end to that incessant singing. Works in SE/AE, too. 😄

When you start buying property, to stay thematic to a miner, perhaps you buy the various mines and blacksmith shops.
