    What an excellent video!!! No music, no intro, just straight to the topic. What a joy. All so clear as a bell. You folks are the BEST!!!! Very grateful, thank you! Subscribed.
    Tip - if your washer leaks water, and hoses are not the issue, take out the soap dispenser drawer and give it a good wash in hot water. Also take off the top, then look for a soap dispenser thingie that looks like a distributor cap with tubes coming out of it. This also gets clogged with soap every few years. Label the tubes, label the 'distributor cap piece', then take out the piece and wash it well removing soap debris. Connect it back again, and voila, job done! No more leaks.

      @@engrkarts4861 even when you have the manuals sometimes they are not always clear. I've had that with my car, I have the technical service manuals but once in a while how to remove some clip is inaccurately printed or there's another trick to it seeing video can help you easily overcome.

    Thanks so much for this video. While my machine is not precisely the same, it's close enough that I was able to tear it open with only minimal problems last night. My wife had run an old rug through the machine and the rubber backing on it crumbled into a million small pieces, leading to the drain filter being clogged and the drain hose not working correctly. Once I got the machine opened up, we were able to determine that the tub to pump hose was completely impacted with little bits of rubber. What a mess!
    Anyway, I can now see a reasonably clear path to getting everything working again, which cost me a bit of time but saved me a great deal of cash.

    This might be long but this video was a great help. I found this video and used it to remove the front panel because the drain attached to the washer door boot at the bottom was clogged. I believe this is a design flaw since it stays clogged with hair and dirt. Don't know what the purpose of this drain is other than aggravate the customer. I have to daily pull hair out the hole and sometimes stick a long tool in there to work more hair up. The tube makes two 90 degree turns, one to the left and then to the right; that's why it's so difficult to clean without having to remove the front panel! I'm going to have to remove the front panel again, clean the tube, of course reverse procedure and this install a filter in that hole! I'm tired of this! I'm thinking of making a video of this myself!

      @lizpaiva6315 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      my washer just clogged and turned itself off with some water inside. the small tube in the bottom-left is also clogged (we live in a beach town and the clog feels like 90% sand), and i can't use a tool to unclog it, so i'm glad this video was here to show me how to remove the front panel and fix the clog, as you mentioned!

    Dear Repair Clinic Team, Thanks for the video. My LG washing machine 7KG , which I have been using from last 6 years, the hinge holding the glass frame broke, also the glass cover too. The LG technician told me to discard the machine as there was no parts available according to him.
    I couldn't find a reason to throw away the machine as It was working ok. I manage to get a second hand glass cover and a hinge. But I didn't know how to open the machine to fix it as the nails which holds the hinges were tight and it was difficult to remove them, even with rust remover. Hence, I used the machine with a rope around for few months until I saw your video.
    Your video showed where to open, how to open the machine safely. I removed the front sheet, took it to a welding shop where they heated the nuts and it was easy to remove them. So finally I fixed it. The machine it now running like a race horse.
    Thanks to you. you own every bit of the appreciation. You have saved my money to buy a new machine. I spent only $14 (QR 60) and made me feel confident. Thanks to my father for the support.
    Only one question arises in my mind. Why the company technicians do not support after the warranty period???
    Keep up good work!
    thanks and regards
    SK

    Thank you so much. This video has just helped me get 'the very stuck' detergent drawer out of my machine - I was only able to open the drawer approx 1cm, but by taking the lid off the machine and being able to get to just get to the screws holding in the front control panel I was able to remove it enough to wiggle and get my fingers in to remove the obstruction and free the drawer. Thank you again.

    Thank you from Brazil! It is the second time that we use your video to change (actually, clean out of sand) the recirculation and draining pumps, that fill with sand (!). We live at the beach and sandy beach clothes and towels seem get a lot of sand into the machine, and it gets into the pumps.

    Very helpful video, thanks. I removed the front panel to remove the front clean out drain hose (Part #5214FR4006G) that had become blocked by grit/sand. It's a pain to clean out the grit/sand but can be done. The measurements of this drain hose is 1/4"ID by 7/16" OD by 15-7/8" long.

    "Click", I love that sound in the video where they just easy breasy remove and reinstall the door latch plug. Meanwhile, I'm over here, breaking a sweat trying to turn and contort my body every which way to get the best handle on this thing, as I am trying my darndest to get it to go up and into place. It's difficult to push in there. It's definitely not a cute little "click". 😂 Great video nonetheless! Thank you so much!

    Hi Repairclinic, your help will be greatly appreciated. My mother forgot to take away the shipping bolts before starting the same LG machine as you have posted in this clip. She washed the clothes twice in this machine. When I visited her, she complained about the washing machine jumping, so I had a look and removed all the shipping bolts. As i did expect the screws were not complete (partially destroyed). Is the best way to get rid of the destroyed pieces is through opening the rare panel?

    I replaced my door gasket but did not realize that the black "gasket" on the back side of the control panel that seals the detergent dispenser was not sealing. I used silicone gasket maker from Autozone to repair it. If you remove the control panel, check the area that mates up to the detergent dispenser. It could be leaking also.

  • @repairclinic

    Your drain hose is probably too low. The drain hose has to raise up to at least the height of the top of the washer to perform correctly.

    The washer is not pulling the bleach or the softener from dispenser. I removed the tray and made sure the holes were cleaned and open in the dispenser tray and syphoning holes were open but still doesn't pull it out. Even water down softener per LG web site. Any ideas. The vide was very helpful. do I need to replace the dispenser unit?

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Water flow from the valve is what starts the siphon. The water valve may not be letting enough water to flow through the dispenser to make the bleach siphon out. You can also check the water lines to the dispenser the make sure they are not plugged up.

    Really gr8 n hlpful. Pls let me know the name of part, three in numbers (made of cement/cast iron) bean shaped (really heavy) fixed around Tub of LG front load Direct drive washing machine. One is in front top of tub (just behind front control panel)and two around rear top of tub. I think these are for controlling vibrations & stability of WM. In my machine front one has come out with bolt and machine has become noisey n shaking badly only while spinning. Any help for repairing the same. Thanx

    I have bought a new LG fussy logic 10.0kg fixed as per the instructions but wondering why water does not stay in the drum it flows direct to the drain. I have gone through all program to test but water never stays in drum. Any help

    This is a great help, I now know how to get in and out safely. My problem is the machine (Same as in this video it seems LG12576FD) stopped cycle sometime through the night. There is NO power! The board does not light when pressing the power switch. I have emptied out the water but I am not getting any power. The wall socket is fine so not circuit breakers. What could be the issue?

      +eAGer4 We would look for a defective noise filter with a blown line fuse. The noise filter is circuit board looking part right by where power cord comes into machine.

      +RepairClinic.com The repair guy replaced the main PCB at the rear. I am beginning to think these PCB's have a problem with the heat/cool cycle and circuits are lifting from the board over time :-( I have now had the front and rear PCB's replaced on this machine within 3 years

    Can you post pics or video of the door gasket drain hose replacement? where does the hose go after it goes under the balance weight ? where does it connect? The LG exploded view diagrams do not show this at all that I can find.

    Is there a way to pull apart the control panel? The screen has shaken off on mine and the digital display is now unreadable and was wondering before I started pulling it apart if it was possible to get it all apart and re-glued without destroying it, and also to know how long it may take me

    I lost my rings in this exact same washer. By taking it apart according to the video, will I be able to find them? Where would they most likely be?

    Any easy way to get the detergent dispenser to release. It is stuck and appears that the softener dispenser is blocking it from opening up freely.

    My machine is holding the control panel onto the frame pretty tightly. I’ve removed the clips, but something in the center behind the big knob won’t let it move. Any ideas? I’ve followed the video up until this point and re-checked each screw

    The old "get what you pay for" adage sure doesn't apply to LG. I was considering their french door refrigerator, also rated #1 by Consumer Reports but not now! My washer went out after just 5 years - only 1 week after my extended warranty expired. Yet LG considers the unit "too aged" and won't help. AGED after just 5 years!? Considering both my cheap $300-400 washers were repair free for min of 10 -20 years, I expected paying nearly 4 times would get me something repair free for a lot longer.
