How to get the train to Taipei Main Station from Airport [Taoyuan Airport MRT Review]

Join me for one of my more specialised transportation reviews as I board the Taoyuan Airport MRT Express train Service from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and take it on a speedy 35 minute, 40+km journey from the airport located in the nearby Taoyuan City all the way through to Taipei Main Station. In this review I examine everything about the onboard amenities on this train and its overall comfort levels and practicality for travellers and also explain all the different pricing options available for users of this train. In this review I also offer my thoughts on the merits of taking this high speed express airport train over other available airport transportation alternatives such as Uber Taxi in terms of both price comparison and convenience and ultimately whether it is best to take the train or other forms of transport.

The most important thing a first time visitor would like to know is, how to buy tickets? Do you have to use vending machine or there’s a ticket office? Types of tickets.. I was able to this info from Google but this info could be helpful in video. Cheers

Thanks so much for watching and your feedback. Sorry about the delayed response and my apologies if I didn’t explain that clearly in the video. FYI I brought from the ticket office and the train station as part of a special visitor pass although you can also buy tickets online too I believe.
