- The music of Lemmy Kilmister touched people across many different walks of life. Whether you walk the straight and narrow or follow haunted train tracks looking for a one-way runaway boxcar straight to hell, Motörhead is the soundtrack for any outlaw rocker’s journey. Stripped down and injected with deal-with-the-devil-level-talent fiddling and blues vocal, Bridge City Sinners have taken their cover of “Go to Hell” to new depths of satanic majesty not even Lemmy could’ve imagined. With just as much rock and roll as zydeco ramjam, “Go to Hell” is the perfect sendoff for any crusty hoedown.
Keep your pointed ears open for that beastly growl under Libby Lux’s seductive singing, the demon energy on this track neither relents nor forgives. Coupled with such vigorous strumming and stringing, this track is an invitation to sin and a Holy Roller ticket to meet the devil. No other track exhibits the musical range featured on Löve Me Förever: A Tribute to Motörhead, it’s indicative of not only the variety of music Lemmy inspired but the variety celebrated by Psycho Waxx and Psycho Las Vegas in every musical venture. Recorded in the desert over the course of Psycho weekend 2021, Bridge City Sinners effectively captured the old west energy Lemmy always admired. Bar fights in dusty corrals have a new whisky-drenched anthem to get the fists and bottles flying.

Many years ago I rented a room from some older friend’s who were long standing mates of Lemmy’s since the late sixties early seventies. He used to come over for the odd weekend when he was around in the 80s, first watch Bullseye on TV, we would then go to the pub and drink beer, Lemmy would then play the fruit machine and I would stand with him, I was 21 years old. I loved the guy,he looked out for me. I’m 61 now 😮

The mixture of talent in this band is what makes it so unique. I have seen almost every band on my bucket list but Bridge City Sinners is still at my top 🤘

I saw Motörhead, in Oakland, back in 1987. It was a hazy show. There was so much pot smoke, the arena was a giant hotbox. Great show!!
