U.S. Marine Corps and Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) base.
An Hòa was located southeast of a major Vietcong (VC)/People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) base area known as the Arizona Territory across the Vu Gia River.

Fly over LZ Baldy just off route 1. Google street view is not very good there. I was there from October 1968 through May 1969.

Mate, I’m an ex Aussie soldier doing a wander around Vietnam at the moment, can I suggest you head over to black mountain and do a fly around there. I was on the cable car going up to the top and you could see all the bullet impacts in the granite boulders from the cable cars, as well as I’m guessing the rockets they were spewing out of the Huey’s while they were defending the marine base on the top. It might be tricky to fly on that side of the mountain but I’m sure there will be impact evidence on all sides ?

Love your vids on the Vietnam war. I loved the Rockpile one but it's a shame you didn't get really close or even land where the US Marines used to live on it. I'm from the UK and would love to visit these places. Keep the great content coming by the way!!!
