The worst kept secret in the industry is Gulfstream is working on a replacement, which may be named G300, which is a number Gulfstream has used before. This next generation G280 update is rumored to fly faster, higher, longer, allow luggage compartment access at all heights, feature larger windows, a flat floor, updated electronics, with slightly shorter take-off distance and improved auto-breaks shirking landing runway length. When combined, the update should position this super-mid size jet relevant well into the next decade.
G280 seems like a good midpoint but ew that it's made in israel. I would categorically avoid it for that reason until gulfstream moved that production back to north america.
