- The rangers went to another Galaxy to recover the Ninja Megazord, Shogun Megazord, Falconzord and the Zeo Crystal that were all in Master Vile's hands.
Season 3, Episode 30 "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor" Part 3.
It's so weird because I remember that even then, after this major victory of retrieving the crystal and getting back the Zords, something was coming. Even the music lent itself to that feeling of uncertainty. I didn't even know it was about to become Zeo, but the ominous tone of the third season was just too overpowering to make me feel like this win against Vile was enough.
This show had the best dialogue.

Billy has such a leadership in this season...that's cool. I remmeber in the beginning, he couldn't be heard saying: "it's morphing time" and in the third season of mm it looks like he is second-in-command.

The Ninjetti Powers were greater than the Ninja Powers that Ninjor gave them. But, that was an Aternate Reality.
What's wierd about the Zeo Crystal is that it was broken into 5 peices and scattered across the world. When the rangers were turned into kids they had to go on a quest to find them and restore them back to their older selves along with new powers which they became The Zeo Rangers.
Billy is definitely second in command in this season

Besides Tommy he has been with the power rangers the longest it only makes sense for him to have been second.

Actually, Tommy's suit was Dairanger, plus Zeo was when Saban decided it would be better to make the suits match the zords instead of pushing their luck like they did with MMPR. One thing Saban messed up on was in Super Megaforce where they couldn't do a full MMPR scene twice, one with the Green and one with the White Ranger.
+onisahman Or they should have made a Key that was half green and half white Ranger, like Gokaiger did with the Go-On Wings team. Perhaps even make one for the JF spirit Rangers
The only thing they could do is swap something, and give both weapons to Orion. Hell, it would require Saban to spend a few bucks, but they are real cheapskates. Besides, too bad Super Megaforce would be reminded for being the absolute worse season of Power Rangers.

Y’know I really love the image of Billy standing at the center of the five rangers formation (excluding white). He’s the last of the original five at this point. He’s the veteran. Too bad we never got an instance of him as the dfacto leader in Tommy’s absence.
I love how at 1:05 Tommy says, "Okay, let's do it!" and he's the only one who doesn't have a Blade Blaster.
The Pulse Blasters from Gung Ho were weapons that went underused even more than the Blade Blasters. At least the Blade Blasters were in more than one episode. Also, Thunder Megazord's trident, and the Zeo Ranger's power weapons.

At least after the halfway point of the Third season.
When the ratings came in for season 3 a third of the way through the season, they were shown to have plummeted. Saban saw the writing on the wall, MMPR was clearly losing steam, so it was decided to change up the formula to give it a much needed shot in the arm. It didn't work. So Austin St. John was asked to come back, and when he did, ratings improved till the end of the season.
Trans8010 Austin didn't come into the Season until halfway. It was the new suits, zords, enemies and theme song that brought back in the viewers.
And that crystal broke in 5 pieces so they can become zeo rangers

If you look closely, the blade blasters say ZYURANGER on them. They must have been the re-used prop or just the Japanese toys. I believe this was one of the last times they were used in MMPR because they were used so infrequently.

@scarboroughjames7 The point I'm trying to make is that there were more details written originally that we didn't get to see because of the crew heckling David Yost. There's a scripted but unshot scene from the Turbo Movie showing that the Turbo Powers were created by Billy using the Zeo Crystal and routed through Eltar to make them stronger (the Eltar part comes from the end of Turbo). The scene also showed Billy repairing the Dino coins.
Well its good to know that the Dino Coins were not destroyed since the power rangers were using them

These episodes always confused me... 1st the dinozords got frozen then were unfrozen only to be thrown in a fire pit... then the thunderzords were destroyed by ritas brother and some Normal looser monster henchmen... and now the ninja and shogun zords are frozen wtf!!???
I would rather not question the logic of the latter, I presume the frozen zords are part of Kakuranger.
Four of the Dinozords were frozen, the Tyrannosaurus and Dragonzord were reprogrammed for evil. When the rangers were able to regain control, Zedd used his powers to open the Earth and swallow the zords, although Tommy was able save the Dragonzord by returning it to the sea. Zordon was able to retrieve the zords before they were destroyed, and then used the power of thunder to convert the Dinozords into the new Thunderzords. How? It's never explained, but the common theory is, "a wizard did it, so MAGIC!".
The Dragonzord was sparingly used as Tommy's powers were draining. When the Green Ranger's energies were completely depleted, the Dragonzord lost power, and lie dormant in the sea. The White Ranger was created to replace the Green Ranger and with those new powers, a brand new construction: the White Tigerzord. These zords were then destroyed by Rito Revolto, and the loser monster of the week from seasons past. However, it was 4-5 against two and with Rito's unmatched power, it was enough to overload the zords causing them to destruct.
With the destruction of the zords, meant the loss of the original dinosaur powers. Using whatever energies that were left, the rangers were transported to the Temple of Power where its guardian, Ninjor bestowed them new powers of the Ninja (I prefer the Ninjetti, myself) which somehow let them retain the original dinosaur costumes (brand recognition trumps logic) and new zords. These Ninjazords were useless without the Falconzord, as they cannot be summoned without it. Rita and Zedd use this to their advantage by stealing the Falconzord.
The villains then unearth the ancient Shogunzords and blackmailed the Rangers into piloting them, but Billy being as resourceful as ever found a way to transfer the power source from that of Zedd's to that of their own power coins, while also freeing the Falconzord from Zedd's palace. When Master Vile arrived on Earth he reversed the Earth's rotation, de-aging the teens into children, with an attempt to restore their current ages thwarted when the power coins were eaten and destroyed. With the coins now lost, so went the ability to summon the ninja zords.
Reinforcements from Aquitar in the form of the Alien Rangers arrive on Earth to assist the rangers, and with their help are able to use the Shogun Megazord and the Falconzord. when the Rangers are finally able to return to their true age, and the Alien Rangers return home, the fate of the Shogun Megazord and the Ninja Megazord are left unknown.
The zords couldn't be used in Zeo since Ninjor returned to his cave, nor did they have their old power coins to access them. New powers = new zords....that and no Season 3 zords appeared in Ohranger's battle footage with each Sentai comes new mecha.
EXACTLY. Also the Ninja & Shogun Zords became lost in time after Master Vile's time reversal and Goldar destroying the power coins. Also with Ninjor having returned to his temple, they couldn't be brought back to the present time. So they are just lost within the time grid, dormant & non-operational (like the Dragonzord & Titanus).

I noticed something from watching the Power Rangers over the years how come the yellow ranger don't have a skirt like the pink ranger do
Because in series the first season was based on, Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, only the pink Zyuranger was female. The four other Zyurangers were male.

Yes, I'm saying that's not at all what Ninja are. Ninja are not a group of people. They're a job, a profession. Ninja are individuals who are trained in infiltration, sabotage, scouting, and other more subterfuge inspired aspects of warfare. they're basically spies, and infiltrators rather than sneaky assassins, and were widely employed by Japanese generals and warlords including the shoguns. Tokugawa Ieyesu for instance, was the first Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate was the Liegelord and friend of perhaps the most notorious and legendary ninja to ever live: Hattori Hanzo (who, by the way inspired the name for the Kill Bill Character)

Even though they can't use the ninjazord (ninjacoins were destroyed) can somebody possibly use the shogunzords since the alien rangers used them (15 years before they were discovered, strangely)

Actually, even Ninja Zords still seem to be intact. If I remember correctly, Alien Rangers once managed to summon Falconzord to combine it with Shogun Megazord.

As a kid I slowly stopped watching this show cause they kept replacing the power rangers with other actors. I stayed to watch up until OG Pink Ranger was replaced. That was the final straw. She was my girl lol

Jaegar Ultima Replicas? Those are screen used props FROM Zyuranger. They even say "ZYURANGER" on them.
Jaegar Ultima Props only last so long during production and even after production. It was more than likely that the Japanese props would never be used again, so they're shipped to Saban to be used in Power Rangers. Props that survive production are either put in storage, sold to collectors, given to those involved with the show or discarded.
Billy: The Black (or Yellow) Shogun Zord isn't gonna be too happy I blew open a hole in its foot!
Techinally they would of had to blow even more holes to get inside of the Zord if they were going in from the front, because if you watch the transformation, you'll see the legs are just Zords with their legs up against their chests. Really they should of entered the Zord from the rear or the side, not the front.
@ksbaxter Prop mistake. It's SUPPOSED to be the ape and wolf coins but the suit makers were lazy i'll bet. I figured they'd make this gaff but I thought 'at least we've never seen the coins up close in season 3... guess I was wrong...
@Xephon0930 1. The Turbozords could fit on the boat to Muranthias 2. In a scene they couldn't film because David Yost walked off the set during Zeo, Billy created the Turbo Powers using the Zeo Crystal, so they're practically the same as the Zeo Powers only with different suits, Zords, and Power Weapons. This scene, while sadly unproduced, is currently the official explanation.
Ah but David, wouldn't it be rather difficult to jump up that tight space with all the machinery around them? I'd say yes.

@ZeldaTheSwordsman The transition from Zeo to Turbo is rather nebulous as it was never explained. It can be presumed that the Zeo powers granted by the crystal were simply laid aside in exchange for the Turbo powers which Alpha created. This could explain how Tommy was later able to use his pair of Zeonizers to become the Red Zeo Ranger again in "Forever Red." taken directly form power rangers Wiki
iirc Tommy was a turbo ranger for a while, because I remember that in turbo because of the new zords/powers Tommy started to like racing and cars more

@Xephon0930 It's not one's homeworld that matters, it's the source of one's powers. The Aquitian Rangers' coins were also Ninjor's work and based on the Ninja spirit animals and so could also call the matching Zords. The Zeo Powers weren't connected to those Zords and in any case the Zeozords were stronger.
Why did the zoom in of the power coins show dino coins? (i know i know, because its power rangers and they didnt care to catch it)...guess Once and Always wasnt the first time Kat had the pteradactyl coin.

Power Rangers and Super Sentai have aresenals that they have, but they don't use them. Take the blasters from Gung Ho. They never even had the chance to combine with the Blade Blasters. The Zeo Ranger's power weapons barely go unused, to the point that some of them never even got named on screen.
Not Really Tommy brought up to the Dino Thunder Rangers about how him kim rocky aisha billy and adam went to get powers form ninjor and he brought up new zords so that may count
Justin wasn't in Zeo, He was in Turbo. He replaced Rocky at the start of Turbo and then stayed on Earth as the rest went to space for the next season. Half way though Turbo(give or take) had everyone but Justin was replaced. Watch the Turbo movie. Tommy was the first red turbo ranger and T.J.(I think that's his name) was the second and was in Forever Red as the red Turbo ranger.
No Kimberly, Jason, Zack, or Trini. Just weird...

yes but a good portion of the ninjas were oppressed farmers they even used their old farming tools as weapons and even put on their old farming uniform when protecting someone the farming uniform was to make people who came to kill their client think that farmers are harmless

but since power rangers operation overdrive the broken morpher is restored and is active again :D
they never changed the power coins, if you pause it at Rocky, its not the ape power coin its the tyrannosaurus coin, same with Billy, instead of the wolf power coin, its the triceatops.

That was weired. When they showed Rocky's morpher when he had his hands together, they showed the Tyrannosaurus power coin instead of the Ape power coin and also the Tricersatops power coin instead of the Wolf power coin, That's really weird.

Is it me, or on the closeups of the power coins and morphers, did I see the Dino-zord coins? If so, weren't those supposed to be destroyed long before this?
Well, the dino coins weren't destroyed, just damaged(as established during In Space). However, the dino coins here are just because the belt morpher props didn't have interchangable coins. Though considering how they had at least once come out while on the belt during season 1, I don't get why they didn't just use whatever they had there for the close-ups, since they DID have the Ninja coins.
