- The Rangers need to get the Zeo Crystal away from evil purposes. Tommy goes to the Caves of Deception to get it while Kat distracted the Moon Palace. The Falconzord is rescued in the process.

Even though It was only a hallucination, for those brief few seconds it was really good to see the green ranger back one last time and the cool montage of Tommy's career as a power ranger while getting electric shocked holding the crystal was an awesome redemption moment as it showed just how much he's changed from being an evil figure to the greatest hero of all time.

The two Rangers who began by being controlled by Rita and sent to destroy the Rangers facing their pasts and crashing the moon palace... this is one of my favorite episodes. Season three was the best of MMPR to me, though I hear it didn't do so well in the ratings.

Wow, of all series, Rangers gets the whole "evil illusion cave" thing right. Every single time, I see people falling for the tricks immediately, even in shows that I'd say are far better. Rangers actually had Tommy see right through it no problem, and only struggling when it made sense.

I don't think they'd destroy them but I'd have liked to seen Zedd fight more. The actor was older but his whole body was covered, so the show could have easily used a younger double for the fight scenes. Oh well.

It's funny, Zyuranger had a scene where Burai confronted Bandora on the moon. Nothing of the sort could happen during the Green with Evil arc due to Japanese footage being used for Rita and company, but now we can have Tommy confront Rita in this very un-Zyuranger situation. Funny or ironic or something when that happens.

The Zeo crystal would've absorbed the blasts just like it did with the Revivifier flames.
It sucked they couldn't use the Metallic Armor outside of Earth. Although come to think of it, not much of their powers Beyond a certain point ever worked out much outside of Earth, which sucks just the same.
That was one of the reasons Zordon said to never escalate the battle. Though the Genesis game says otherwise...

Lord Zedd isn't from a Sentai series. He was a completely original character created for Power Rangers. Season 1 Rita was Japanese footage but in Season 2 they started filming new footage with a different actress as Rita.

I still don’t get how Tommy’s Ninja colour was white - surely it should have been green as Ninjor created the power coins (including green) so the sixth ninja power coin should have been green as Zordon & alpha created the white coin in white light pts 1 & 2 - Ninjor wouldn’t have known a white ranger existed/green dino powers were gone. Yes I know in reality it’s due to the footage taken from super Sentai in Japan but it’s a detail that could have been brought up somewhere in s3.

Don't get me wrong, I like all of the original rangers a lot, but they seemed to kind of suffer back then from the writers not really putting much time to give each of them individual storylines like the seasons moving forward did a little better for each ranger imo. I would have liked to learn more about Trini.

I suppose this is why Jason, Zach, and Trini broke off and became Omega Rangers, unbound by Zordon's rules to go on the offensive... kind of like Ranger Black-Ops.

@@ArcticSeraph I get that they have to have the formula, but production-wise, nah, it wouldn't break the bank. They have the actors, the costumes, and the Teleport Animation is not very expensive, they'd just need a Teleport-Into-Palace scene and then bust out the weapon props.
I miss shows that could make something as goofy as the Revivafier seem legitimate. I'm glad I stuck with the Power Rangers up through Zeo. But when the zords were just big cars it really lost the magic.
As sad as it was for Tommy, Kat and Adam to go, the Zordon era concluding with In Space was enough to make up for that loss.

The force field is what wrecked Lord Zedd's face, not the crystal itself. Tommy concentrated hard while the force field judged his actions. The first two scenes were when he was under Rita's influence, the next was from Season 2 and 3 when he was good.
