New for 2022!! The Premium Dual Mode screen is compatible with ALL systems- whether it starts with 2 or 8, doesn't matter, it still works. This means there is no risk of ordering the wrong part anymore. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/AzMrYJPxxN8/w-d-xo.html
I jjust used the dual mode screen (2016 Escalade) and it worked perfectly. Only difference from the video was my side covers were shaped different and only held on with (2) screws each, instead of (3), but other than that the video was spot on.
Well I'd have to say that when I started the process my legs were shaking like a new born baby deer. Your step by step instructions were awesome. I tested my screen and I'm so excited like the pointers sisters. Ty
I didn’t have any cracking but the screen wouldn’t respond to the touch. The dealership quoted $1400 to fix it. After watching your videos I thought it was worth $130 to try your screen. After watching your videos several times the install was a piece of cake, less than 2 hours on my 2013 SRX. My wife is thrilled. Happy wife, happy life. Thanks cuescreen.
Just finished this myself in about an hour. Screen hasn’t been working for two years. I am so unbelievably grateful for this video and that it actually worked!
I’ve been living with the cracked screen for two years. I couldn’t justify $2000 fix. I had no idea this was an option. Get instructions! Made the job easy.
2017 CTS. No cracking, but the screen was getting pretty wonky. Acting like someone was touching random buttons constantly. The new screen is perfect. It matches the dash perfectly. All controls work. I also think the new screen is higher resolution than stock. Excellent instructions. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
I just installed the CueScreen in my SRX. Absolutely fabulous product and is working as the original! The video is bang on and if you take your time and are patient, this installation will go well. Watch the video a few times and have it with you when you take everything apart, including the trim on the car. Thank you very much for saving everyone a pile of money. The dealer here in Canada wanted $2250+Tax for this installation with the screen. I would give you 10 stars if I could!!!!
Great video. $79.99 instead of $1,500 is a great win. Mine was not cracked at all, just (mostly and/or inconsistently non-responsive). Took me just shy of 1.5 hours from start (began removing the cupholder) to finish (closed the door and smiled). On my 2016 ATS, there are only three plastic screws instead of five (@3:07 of video) and they changed the 'compartment box light' connector (@5:00 of video) - it's not there on mine AND you don't have to remove it in order to remove the compartment box. Appreciate the great product and the effort that went into your video -- Thanks, CUESCREENS!
Just got finished replacing my screen. I had a huge crack in it and the screen was unresponsive. This is by far one of the best step by step videos I've ever watched. $100 dollars and 2.5 hours saved me thousands. Cannot thank you guys enough. Great product, Great instructions, Great outcome.
Excellent Screen that works perfectly! I replaced the screen in my wife's ATS in a couple of hours on a rainy Saturday. The print and video directions are exceptional. Just follow the directions exactly and you will have no problems. I highly recommend the product and the support and I am happy to have saved $1500!
Just finished my Cue screen repair on my ELR. I was worried the job was too big for me and assumed it wouldn't work after it was installed. I'm amazed, it worked perfectly!!! Thanks Cuescreen!!
I just finished this install. To be honest, I didn’t look at any content beforehand (not recommend). When I got to this video, I started thinking “that’s a lot of screws.” But the video was clear and I was committed to getting through it. Really wasn’t that bad, just go slow.
I guess I am a latecomer. I just did this job this afternoon. Not quite as easy as you all make it look but not difficult either. I had the most trouble getting the unit unplugged. I had 4 plugs but the top one on the driver side gave me fits because it would not release and unlike in you video, on a 2015 ATS, it is hard to get your hands behind the and get a sightline to see what you are doing. Also the trim pieces did not release as easy as it seemed to show. On the video. Once inside, I found mine to be a bit different from the unit in the video but they were minor differences. This video made the job easily doable with a little patience.
Excellent video. My 2014 screen stopped working before CIVID hit. I was actually apprehensive about replacing my screen (myself). I even communicated with a few sellers on eBay to get a replacement unit. I couldn't see paying Cadillac $1300. The instructions here were very accurate, concise and easy to follow... with a few pauses and rewinds (but that was for me to make sure that I was following the video). I took a little more than an hour from start to finish. Now my Cue looks so nice. I bought a genuine Cue screen on Amazon. Good look replacing yours. Just follow this video and don't lose any screws. Be gentle. Peace
I'm not a techy or mechanically inclined person, but I was able to confidentially replace my cue screen on my 2014 Cadillac ATS by following the step by step process. It was a SUCESS! Thank you for the Video Instructions!
Dude, I'm so happy I found this. I was super intimidated to do this myself, but after watching the video along with the replacement, it works PERFECTLY. I actually yelled out "OMG IT'S WORKING!" and my mom came out to check and make sure everything was okay haha. Thank you for saving me all that money!
OMG i did it.😁 I followed your video and replaced my CUE screen. It took me a hot minute but I got it done. I just installed and it works. I cant thank you enough. Keep making videos. 😃
I bought this replacement screen for my SRX along with the tools to install it. This installed perfectly. I watched the videos 2X and then followed them again as I worked. Thank you for this great product and the very helpful videos.
I literally just installed this just under two hours because pulling the system out proved to be a bit daunting but I did it. The install was EASY. Because I'm a computer geek who used to build my own computers, I was very careful with the interior components. I took care and watched the video as I removed the old screen and replaced it. Anyone wondering if this is something they can do on their own, Yes you can. Just have patience and watch the video as you do each step. I'm so glad I opted to do this myself. I'm glad this was an option.
This post was a lifesaver! Much better than any post I saw. I would not have been able to do this without you. Thanks a million. I followed the video (had a few screws left over) and the system worked great. Update your last message. Cadillac now charges $2000 to replace the Cue system.
Followed the videos step by step. Very easy install. No issues at all and now my cue functions correctly. 😎 And I received my screen in 3 days. My luxury car is all luxury again. And not gehto hoopty
😂 mine is currently ghetto hoopty 😂 this might be above my pay grade so I’m thinking of taking it to my mechanic shop! It will still be waaay cheaper than at Cadillac and since my town no longer has a dealer I’d have to drive at least an hour to 11/2 to get to one.
Just did my 2013 SRX. Over the past year and a half it went from randomly not working to completely not working. Forums and online searches revealed a $2000 repair at the dealer. I was contemplating getting rid of the car until I came across this and gave it a try. Great video instructions! I replaced my screen in about 1.5 hours and now it works perfectly for only $140! Don’t be afraid to try and fix it yourself people. With the right tools and a little patients it’s an easy fix.
Great job Adam! I agree, its honestly a simple repair if you can take your time and follow the video. Especially when the alternative is paying GM another $1,800 for another control module that will fail in 2 years again :(
Thanks a lot, took me around 1.5 hours from start to finish and now works perfectly, (This is probably the first time I post a comment on TH-cam) its worth doing it yourself the dealer wanted around $1500. My advise is to check which model your screen is rather than just your car year, mine is a 2015 ATS but I guess the screen was replaced under warranty in its previous ownership as my screen required the v2018 screen.
Worked perfectly on ‘16 Escalade ESV. Only difference from the video on my unit was, instead of six 7mm bolts on the back of the unit, mine had T15 torx bolts. Thanks for saving me $1,000!
Just wanted to say thanks! After checking out your website I ordered the replacement touch screen for my wife's SRX. After reviewing instruction videos and following instructions step by step ..... Voila! Everything works great. The hardest part for me was removing the trim pieces. Changing the screen was just a matter of following the steps in the video instructions. Many thanks! Saved a ton of money. Cadillac dealer quoted $1200 as going in price + they weren't sure if they might have to reprogram. 5 stars from me!!!!!
This might be a little tricky for someone with no mechanical experience .As a retired Electrician and my electrician friend (we have done a lot of our own work on cars starting out very young)we were able to do this albeit we installed the cue ribbon cable upside down and had to take it apart a second time.Second time was one fifth the time as we had the sequence down with a couple of extra screws left over where did not know where they went.Take pictures and watch the video a few times to get familiar.Support was great with the help of Charles I believe his name was, walked me right through it,Feel proud to do it yourself ,because the dealer is a total rip off at 1600 dollars, shameful. Thanks Cuescreens , great idea and great service
I watched your first and second video. Your attention to detail made the videos easy to work with with tear down and rebuild of car and module. I followed each step, stopped the video, did each step, then restarted where I left off until the cue screen was attached and back in the 2014 srx car working. Now, understand that I am not mechanically inclined so the entire job for me was 6 hours with a few breaks in between but I myself was able to get it done. Thank you.
Thank you so much and +10 to your good karma for your help!!!!!! Just replaced the cracked screen with your videos and it worked!!! We did not do anything to get it cracked, so it's not due to negligence on the user's part. The dealer quoted $1,800. They should be taken to court for this kind of scam.
I ordered my 2015 ESV replacement Cue screen. I call around, but no one in my area handled replacement screens besides my local Cadillac dealer for $1000. I decided to replace it myself. It took me a couple of hours but with God, and your detailed videos, I successfully replaced my Cue touchscreen for $57.00! (Amazon)
Absolutely AMAZING product and instructional video guys!!! You saved me $1600 on my Cadillac Escalade and I could not believe how simple it was to follow your videos step by step... THANK YOU THANK YOU! You guys should get an award for this product and service....
Very good instructions. Thanks for the help! I did this task with no issues. Patience and paying attention to detail in the video and the task will allow anyone to accomplish.
Started at 9AM removed the unit from the CTS and repaired it and reinstalled it at noon. Videos were great thank you for the all encompassing videos and equipment and possible pitfalls.
Did mine last night. Works like a charm. All said and done, it took me longer than the estimated 40 minutes. If you're moderately handy and careful, you can do this.
Excellent video have a 2014 ATS and looks like the dealer already replaced the screen before but left the screen protector on the inside cuz it had air bubbles all over and then started acting wonky where it would press buttons by itself, great instructions and did it all myself truly happy with the way it looks thanks again CueScreens!
Just did my 2015 SRX. Like many have noted, the trim was the hardest part. Lots of steps but the instructions and particularly the video were very well done. All screws lined up fine, no code needed, and it worked. Like the ending screen of the video says "Congrats! I just saved $1,500!".
Great video. Made changing the CUE screen very straight forward. Thanks for saving me a $1,000 from the dealer. This is actually the 3rd CUE screen replacement in my wife's 2016 SRX. The first 2 were done under warranty. This one was on my dime. Highly recommended. Thanks.
My 2013 was on its 3rd Cue screen. The first two were replaced under warranty. There wasn’t any way that I was going to spend $1500 on replacing my now unresponsive screen. I lived with it for about a year by using my steering wheel controls to change radio stations. Navigation use was not possible. And then I watched this video!!! Immediately placed my order. Installation went pretty easy. The only grief I had was removing the panels on each side of the console. It’s the only part of the video where the actual removal wasn’t shown being done. Just shows where the bolts were to be loosened and removed. There isn’t much room for a wrench to get in there due to the seats next to it. The rest of the process was easy while following along with this excellent video. Next time, if there is ever a next time, I can probably do the whole job in an hour. I know that you can’t see this, but I’ve got a big smile on my face now that I’ve got a working Cue screen!!! Thank you.
THANK YOU!!! I followed remove, repair, reinstall directions frame by frame for my ‘15 Escalade. The screen fit perfectly. No alignment issues. Great suggestion to try it before putting the truck back together - it powered up but touch didn’t work. I went to “troubleshooting” and sure enough it was the little ribbon connection. You need to get that to fit just right. That was the hardest / most frustrating part. I am incredibly happy with the result!
40 years as a tech and can truly say this was the easiest and most cost economical repair I have completed on my ATS. I hope it lasts in the Florida sun and I finally have one less reason to hate my car. Shame on Cadillac as 4 screens replaced in 5 years is totally unsat. GM should have been using this design from the beginning. On a 5 star rating, the replacement material and video are a 10.
After reviewing some of the other videos on internet, this is one of the best I found. It is thoroughly explained and show great closeup clear videos. I was able to remove and replace my old screen that looked like it was cracked. After visiting the dealership for a estimate of $1100+ and a side shop for an estimate of $800+, this save me $700+. Thank you. God bless
AWESOME!!!!! I was able to safely and accurately install my screen alone with your detailed video. I appreciate your help. It took me 4 1/2 hours but I got it done! Purchased my screen through CUE on Amazon and followed your video step by step. Very much appreciate you!
Just saved $1500+! Anyone can do this! Watch the video a few times, watch while your doing it. Keep each screw type separate and in order. The only thing that was different on my 2015 Cadillac ATS was the one little light clip. It wasn’t on mine. Had no problems with the screw holes lining up. Just took my time as I watched the video. Also, don’t take a chance and order the cheaper one CUE offers, they were right, if it’s not the original unit in the car it won’t work. When I took my unit out, sure enough it had a label on it that said refurbished! I’m very satisfied at this point, just hope it holds up. Thank you!
I just finished this repair, followed the instructions and they worked perfectly! Great video, very well done! I also ordered the screen from these guys! For reference, this was on a black 2016 Cadillac ATS, where the touchscreen stopped working completely, the dealership wanted $1400! The whole process took under 2 hours, and that was with me being very cautious, and every screw fitting back exactly as it should! Thank you to whoever made the video, and anyone trying it out, good luck!
Unbelievable and awesome product. Cadillac wanted $1,300.00 to fix the well known defective screen, and Cadillac has some nerve to not do a recall for what is really a disposable and defective item. This will be my last Cadillac (OK, I vented enough). I goofed a little when I installed the screen, and I managed to loosen one of the small white ribbon cables which you should never touch during the install, but it may come loose inadvertently. My screen turned on after reinstalling it, but the black panel below the screen did not light up. I actually called the number on the Cuescreen website in the evening, and I thought it was going to voicemail, but it was answered by the owner (I think he is the owner). He told me in a couple minutes what I did wrong, and he was correct. He was also a real gentleman and very professional. All up and running now!!! Yeah, getting the trim apart was the hardest part. Pry outward the top trim first (start at top, the very tippy top, and pull out from there first), then pull on the bottom trim to get to the 2 screws holding in the top trim. Don't be afraid to pull too hard on the bottom trim to get to the 2 screws that hold the top trim on. I used a small rachet 7mm to get the 2 screws out, there is just enough room when pulling the bottom trim out to use the rachet. Do use plastic only wedges, get the kit, because you will scratch the trim while massaging the trim apart (metal tips will slip and scratch). Even if you are not mechanical or don't have a little muscle to do this (the trim), buy it anyway and find a handyman who can follow step by step directions on the internet by this company. This is one of those rare products that are more like miracles, and they work better than the original part. I am very thankful to Cuesystems.com. Thanks CUESYSTEMS!!!!
Just finished mine today.I love saving this kind of money doing it myself. Start to finish and cleanup took me 4 hours. I was very slow and double checked everything. I feel that I could do the next one in half the time. I agree that removing trim is the hardest part. It is my wife's car and they didn't mention that it really helps to put the seat in its lowest position when removing the trim. She drives with it in the highest position. I didn't discover this until I did the reinstall. I highly recommend.
I just finished the install of this screen on a 2015 XTS which the lower touch screen wasn't working and had a small crack. With the help of the video it went perfect and solved the problem! Great product and company!
This company rocks!! Thank you for saving me a boat load of money!! I did my wife’s 2014 SRX screen last night, it was as easy as shown in the video!! It took me about an hour total time. Again, THANK YOU!!! I’d recommend this to anyone to try before just taking it to the dealer (unless still under warranty). Our dealer was straight forward with me about how they would fix it and the cost. GM dealers are only allowed to replace the whole unit. (Roughly $12-1300). So now the wife’s touchscreen is back to full function, she’s happy and we saved a ton of money!
Excellent video, I was able to do this step by step at my desk without issue. I was very careful to not push on the new screen, or touch either the inside of the new screen and the inside of the unit screen after removing the old one as I didn't want permanent fingerprints. Everything lined up very well and went together without fighting me. A couple differences I wanted to point out - I have a 2017 ATS, and I did not have a "compartment box connector" cable at all, which was confusing for a minute as I looked all around for it, but it simply did not exist on mine. Also, my side panels (the ones held in by the 7mm bolts) were only held in by 4 bolts. There were holes in the *unit* for 6, but only 4 holes (2 apiece) in the side panels - I did not have middle the middle holes in my pieces and there were no bolts there, in case anyone else had these differences. Looking forward to NO MORE PHANTOM TOUCHES!!!
I got stuck early on, because I didn’t have a screwdriver small enough for the plastic screws. I might have to reassemble and try this again because I live far away from everything. It was a pain getting the unit out of my car, so to hit this road block, I lost my sh*t. Hopefully the finished product will make it all worth it. UPDATE: I was able to borrow a small screwdriver from a neighbor. Everything went back together well, and everything functions as it’s supposed to. Thank you for sharing this video, as I would not have been able to do this otherwise.
The installation process was so easy. If you ever worked on a laptop you can do it. The step by step video is extremely detailed. No surprises. Highly recommend this company.. but make sure you get the premium brand that comes with the tools and also the little mini needle nose pliers. Will definitely safe you time and a headache.
I had to find a solution due to a dead right side on my 2018 ATS. Simply non-responsive side, which prevented me pressing necessary buttons, and mostly confirm android-auto. So after watching this video, I ordered the screen, and I cleared up my saturday's afternoon. I sticked to the videos (focusing on the primer one that explains how to disassemble the entire thing from the main console. NOW THAT PART WAS THE TRICKIEST AND HARDEST PART because it's not as easily removed sides around the gear and the cup holder, and the plasic there is pretty fragile and easily breaks. But, after getting that out of the way, the rest was rather easy. The video isn't relevant on a few slight differences, such as number of screws, a small white connector and the simplicty of the whole thing. However, without that elaborated video, there's no way I would have ever risking it and tried, SO THANK YOU! IT'S WORKING PERFECTLY THANKS TO YOUR GUIDE🎉
Just did mine and it works!! The VJOs were super helpful and very much appreciated. I would caution anyone thinking about doing it to read the website first and not just dive into it with the 2 VJOs. There are important steps and gotchas that cannot be overlooked. The only thing I had an issue with was removing the two console trim pieces. They didn't come off easily nor go back in smoothly. That's my only critique...that I wished there was more video on those steps. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with CueScreens' effort in making this easy for any home-gamer or anyone looking to save over $1800!! (My dealership in Denver quoted $2K vs $129 for the screen) To anyone thinking you can't do this, you absolutely can. Just give yourself a few hours, make sure to read everything on the website and watch the VJOs a couple times before diving in. Also, don't get stressed out...have patience and it'll go smoothly. You'll have a great sense of self-appreciation once you fix it. Plus, you can do whatever u like with ALL that $$$ you saved!! Thx again, CueScreens, 5 stars, couldn't be happier.
This video was fantastic. I followed it and got the screen replaced in no time. Excellent commentary and directions were spot on. Thanks so much for posting this.
Just finished replacing the screen in my wife's 13 SRX. Instructions are easy to follow. Unit works great. Just a heads up, the machine screws you are using a #2 Phillips screw driver are actually JIS (Japanese industrial standard) headed screws.
I just finished replacing one for a customer. The biggest piece of advise I could give, is definitely without a doubt make sure you have those specific screwdrivers. On the very last screw before removing the screen, the screw stripped. It was the center one where one of the but plugs is in the way. Hard to get the best leverage and angle. I had to file it down to a flat head. Finally got it out and the rest was easy.
Thanks to this video and the Cuescreens replacement screen I now got a fully functionally infotainment screen again in my 2015 Cadillac CTS. I did it all by myself in about 3 hours like they say (I never did something similar like this). It's really worth the price and the time!
Excellent tutorial!!!!! I took my time and installed your replacement screen and re installed it in my 2017 CTS in 3 hours. ***Just one note. My CTS didn’t have the compartment box receptacle plug and harness. Everything else was spot on.
I have a 2017 Escalade Prestige Edition with all the options it also has a Cue System dated 8/03/2017 the Harness for the CUE unit does not contain 7mm bolts instead it is has (6) T15 (Hexadecimal Style) Screws versus the (6) 7MM bolts you outline in your instruction and videos. . You may want to update your instructions to include these T15 screws as a possibility since this is a stopping point during the middle of an installation. Point of Reference my Cue Started with a number 8 and it was Made in Malaysia. Also, thanks so much for this product I was able to complete this install within 3 hours and that includes the break in the middle to search down a T15 Bit from Lowes then onto Home Depot which had the T15 2" BIT that was required for my installation. Also just a note take extra precaution when reinstalling the woodgrain as when I put the CUE trim on it cracked a small piece off the edge so there is definitely a method and concise order you must follow when reinstalling everything so it lines up without catching a corner and causing a chip in the faux woodgrain laminate. (easy fix but just mentioning this) Overall A+ great product saved me lots of cash as my local dealer wanted $1900 for new CUE system and $1200 for installation they said 9 hours to install!!!! What a scam!
Your video is the go-to video of all covering this issue with the Cadillac CUE systems gel screens. The instructions, lighting, sound, view points, speed...everything was great. I was able to follow along and finish in about a combined 2 hours. I say combined because removing my screen revealed to me that I had the V2018 model in my 2014 SRX...WHAT DO YOU MEAN, you say? I was just as stunned. The one I removed had the waffle pattern. I bought the one for my vehicle year (purchased in 2015) and the only place my car has been serviced was at the Cadillac dealership. The only thing I can think of is that it was swapped out for some reason at the dealership. Anyway, the point I want to share is, to not rely on the year of your vehicle but to actually look at the part when you remove it to make sure you order the right one. So after sending the wrong one back and ordering the right one from CUESCREENS, I was done in a combined 2 hours. Thank you !!! I can used the hundreds I saved to get my nails done.
Thank you soooooo much!!! I just changed my screen and it’s working perfect! I’m so proud of myself for finally doing it myself and stop trying to ask people to change it for me.... I did it all on my own! With the help form you all 😌💪🏾😘🙏🏾
Just finished mine and wanted to say that the video is excellent. Thank you!. However, I do have a couple tips that helped me. I first followed the instructions and only loosened the screws that he references at about the 5-minute. Mark. However, when I went to put it back together I found I had an alignment problem and that had to do with the compartment being under the washer on those screws. I noticed this because I did an alignment check of the door prior to putting it back together. Had I not done that alignment check, I would have ran into problems later. Consequently, I can't recommend enough that you ensure the door closes fully with no Gap before reinstalling the back cover. That's when I decided that I was better off completely removing those two screws and then putting them back when reinstalling the compartment After I did that, it aligned perfectly.
Best video I’ve ever seen. Thanknyoubforbthis. I’ve been puting this off for my wife’s car for months but I think with this video I can actually do this. Thank you and FU to Cadillac for not standing behind their crap!!
Add me to the list of very happy customers. 2016 CPO XTS with 60K, CUE started beeping and randomly going through channels and no response on the touch screen. Dealership wasn't sure if it was covered by warranty but would let me know when they had it apart and found out what the issue was....I called BS on that scam and ordered your replacement. Watched your video a couple times and followed it to the T.....three hours later the fix was in! Great video and great price on the CUE....I'm thrilled
It works! Fairly easy. Not the sort of thing I've done before. This and other DIY videos for this gloss over the hardest part, pulling back the trim to get at the screws to remove the unit. Getting the electrical connections off was not as easy as the video looks. Another thing to note, in this video he constantly reorients the unit but has not said so and is not shown in the disassembly of the unit. Just pause often and note the unit orientation. Putting it back together and into the car was easy, again, pay attention to the unit orientation. Thanks CUESCREENS.
Just finished replacing CUE screen on 2014 Caddilac SRX, Your directions were spot on and gave great detail and care, worth the watch. Awesome job. I wish more would do self fix vids this well. Thanks a bunch!!
Absolutely Awesome! Did my 14 SRX and your product and instructions are excellent. Only thing I'd change is to take both bolts holding the side middle console trim out instead of leaving the front one. Putting it back together, it's difficult to put back in place without damaging the front "fork". Now on to the interior rear gate switch. Caddy sure has gone south in quality. My Grandfather and Father were both Caddy guys. I had a Coupe De Ville in the 80's. Those were well built vehicles. Not so much anymore.
Got my screen on Friday and installed this afternoon. Super simple instructions and easy process. So thankful for Cue Screens and their amazing products very happy customer install was on a 17 ATS with unresponsive screen thanks again guys 🤘🏻
2013 CADILLAC ATS. Best instructional so far. I think the first steps of accessing the entire console by removing cup holder and panels should be included with this video.
You will need to click the description of the video, or check cuescreens.com/support to see the vehicle-specific video on how to get the radio out of the car.
CUESCREENS - Thank you so much. Had a non-responsive screen. Followed the instructions in detail. Works perfectly! Save a huge amount of coin! Nice job in the video. I would say I was scratching my head when the wireless charging connector was missing. I assumed no issues and moved on. It might benefit from throwing a "pop-up" in the video so rookies like me don't think they have done something incorrect. A thousand thank you's.
This did not work for me. Followed step by step. Installed easily. But didn't work afterwards. UPDATED!! After advice from CUE screens. I realized it was me and my lack of ribbon connections. But it does work. It does do great!!!
There are 3 reasons for the touch screen not to work after install. You definitely want to check all of this carefully. 1. Read the card inside the box- check part number for compatibility. 2. Insert the screen ribbon cable all the way in. 3. Make sure the ribbon cable is not torn or cut.
I'll be back later with an 'after' update but I can say before even starting that people need to watch this 'how to video' before making their own. Good camera work, lighting and clarity.
Fantastic replacement screen! Great customer service! My 2014 SRX had been replaced with an OEM replacement before I bought it in 2020. I ordered the wrong early version QUE screen. CUEscreens exchanged for the V2018. I only paid the difference for the higher cost V2018 screen and shipping. CUEscreens included a return shipping label. The V2018 cuescreen is better than the OEM. Clairty is outstanding. Replacement was exactly like the videos demonstrated. This is a DIY to save you $1500! Thank you CUEscreens for a great product and great service!
Thank you man. I really appreciate your help. I followed your guidance as you mentioned in the video and it's pitch perfect. I used to have screen freeze or shaking sometimes and now the screen is working excellent. Thanks a lot again🤓👍
Excellent videos. Thank you! My car was not as easy as it looked to get everything off before removing the unit. Had to force most items including the bezel that I thought would break. After that, pretty straight forward. Saved a bunch!
You guys are awesome, this video helped me every step of the way with my 2016 Cadillac CTS Cue screen. About a month ago my screen crack from the Houston Tx heat. I deiced do the job myself due to high cost by the Cadillac company. Although I have put in a few systems into other cars I owned in the past nothing comes close to the small details with this Cue screen. But thanks to you guys making the installation a peace of cake. A month has past and my new screen is working better than ever thank you once again and I will defiantly recommend your product to anyone that needs a new screen.
I just installed on 2016 srx, had been replaced once under warranty and cracked again shortly after warranty exspired....the video tutorial is very good, hats off, tje only thing i would add is when you install the new screen and the alignment is not so good if pushing on the plastic dowells won't do it you can manipulate the steel tabs to where you need them or at least i was able to and with a little finesse make all the screws, but all in all very happy with the quality of the product and the tutorial great job cuescreens highly recommend
Nice job, happy to help!
Just finished this myself in about an hour. Screen hasn’t been working for two years. I am so unbelievably grateful for this video and that it actually worked!
You're welcome!
Oh please!!! It didn’t take you an hour. Get real. There’s no way in hell you did all this In one hour.
@@joeblow9850 I have zero reason to lie about this.
Well that's a great sign 🎉.
@@joeblow9850 lol if you know what you’re doing you can do this shit in less than 30 minutes, you must take 3 hours to do an oil change too huh 😂
Thank you!
Glad you like it.
Great job!
Big thank you for showing me how to do it!! And it didn’t take as long as I thought!! I saved $1,671!! !!
I too was quoted $1600! Install went perfectly. Excellent instructions!
Glad it helped
I just finished up with my 2015 ATS thanks to you man. Rock on🎉
Dude, I'm so happy I found this. I was super intimidated to do this myself, but after watching the video along with the replacement, it works PERFECTLY. I actually yelled out "OMG IT'S WORKING!" and my mom came out to check and make sure everything was okay haha. Thank you for saving me all that money!
Great job!!!
Your video made this whole process easy and saved me a ton of money. Thanks!
OMG i did it.😁 I followed your video and replaced my CUE screen. It took me a hot minute but I got it done. I just installed and it works. I cant thank you enough. Keep making videos. 😃
Glad it helped
I'm having problems with reinstalling the 2 trim pieces 😢
I ordered my screen, and my mechanic installed it. I am very pleased. I saved around $1500. Thank you for a great product and the informative videos.
Awesome job thanks for the review
I bought this replacement screen for my SRX along with the tools to install it. This installed perfectly. I watched the videos 2X and then followed them again as I worked. Thank you for this great product and the very helpful videos.
Glad it helped
Awesome work!
Especially when the alternative is paying GM another $1,800 for another control module that will fail in 2 years again :(
We just replaced my wife's screen using your video. Your video is PERFECT and we couldn't have done it without it. Thank you for making this. 👊
Glad you like it!
Glad you like it, nice job on the install!
So simple. Took me 1 hour in total. Only had 4 screws for the sides and not plug for the light on 2016 ATS Coupe
Thanks Cuescreens ,
great idea and great service
The dealership isn't replacing the screens. They have to buy a complete cue & some go for $1200. That "total ripoff" would be GM
Great job.
Truly step by step video! I'm so glad you SHOWED how to put the covers on after replacement instead of saying "reverse order to reinstall ".
Glad you like it
I ordered my 2015 ESV replacement Cue screen.
Avoid that dealer- if the tech is not smart enough to remove the sticker that says "REMOVE THIS STICKER BEFORE INSTALLING"
I order cue screen from ur site. Just installed under 1hr and thanks to ur video I didn't have any trouble. Thank you. Definitely recommend 👌
Glad you like it!
Just did my 2015 SRX. Like many have noted, the trim was the hardest part. Lots of steps but the instructions and particularly the video were very well done. All screws lined up fine, no code needed, and it worked. Like the ending screen of the video says "Congrats! I just saved $1,500!".
Nice job!
Followed all the steps and everything worked perfectly. I ordered and installed a screen for a 2017 Cadillac Escalade Premium
Ordered my screen, followed your directions and didn’t have any issues. Thank you for your videos!
Glad to help!
Thank you. God bless
Thanks, yes this is by far the most accurate and simple method.
AWESOME!!!!! I was able to safely and accurately install my screen alone with your detailed video. I appreciate your help. It took me 4 1/2 hours but I got it done! Purchased my screen through CUE on Amazon and followed your video step by step. Very much appreciate you!
Whoah! 4 hours? Lol hey at least you got it done and its working again, congratulations!!! Lol
Awesome job. Just finished 2016 escalade platinum. Installed in about 1 hour or so. All screws fit back exactly the like factory. Thanks
Nice work
Just saved $1500+! Thank you!
Great job thank you!
Nice job!@
Thanks for sharing
This company rocks!! Thank you for saving me a boat load of money!! I did my wife’s 2014 SRX screen last night, it was as easy as shown in the video!! It took me about an hour total time. Again, THANK YOU!!! I’d recommend this to anyone to try before just taking it to the dealer (unless still under warranty). Our dealer was straight forward with me about how they would fix it and the cost. GM dealers are only allowed to replace the whole unit. (Roughly $12-1300). So now the wife’s touchscreen is back to full function, she’s happy and we saved a ton of money!
Wow, 1 hour, that might be a new record! Nice job on the install, please leave us a review to help spread the word :)
Great job- it might have been a frustrating issue not having the tools, but you saved over $1k
@@CUESCREENS ironically, a week later, my small screwdriver turned up 🤣
The installation process was so easy.
(My dealership in Denver quoted $2K vs $129 for the screen)
To anyone thinking you can't do this, you absolutely can.
Nice job!
This video was fantastic. I followed it and got the screen replaced in no time. Excellent commentary and directions were spot on. Thanks so much for posting this.
Awesome job thanks for viewing
Just finished replacing the screen in my wife's 13 SRX. Instructions are easy to follow. Unit works great. Just a heads up, the machine screws you are using a #2 Phillips screw driver are actually JIS (Japanese industrial standard) headed screws.
Great job
Great job!
Excellent tutorial!!!!! I took my time and installed your replacement screen and re installed it in my 2017 CTS in 3 hours. ***Just one note. My CTS didn’t have the compartment box receptacle plug and harness. Everything else was spot on.
Great instructions and quality screen replacement for 2016 cadillac cts with no issues everything is on point!
Nice work
I have a 2017 Escalade Prestige Edition with all the options it also has a Cue System dated 8/03/2017 the Harness for the CUE unit does not contain 7mm bolts instead it is has (6) T15 (Hexadecimal Style) Screws versus the (6) 7MM bolts you outline in your instruction and videos.
(easy fix but just mentioning this)
Overall A+ great product saved me lots of cash as my local dealer wanted $1900 for new CUE system and $1200 for installation they said 9 hours to install!!!!
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you like it
Thank you soooooo much!!! I just changed my screen and it’s working perfect! I’m so proud of myself for finally doing it myself and stop trying to ask people to change it for me.... I did it all on my own! With the help form you all 😌💪🏾😘🙏🏾
Great job- what was the most challenging part?
Wow!!! I'm super impressed. Looked so intimidating that I will have to pay someone.
One of the best instructional videos I have ever watched.
So glad I stumbled upon these videos and the product. Highly recommended 👌🏽
Glad it helped thanks
If your screen does this, absolutely easy to do and Soooo worth the time to save major $$$. Amazing job.
Just finished replacing CUE screen on 2014 Caddilac SRX, Your directions were spot on and gave great detail and care, worth the watch. Awesome job. I wish more would do self fix vids this well. Thanks a bunch!!
Dealership wanted 1400 to replace the screen. Ended up paying 150 for the screen and did it in about an hour. Great replacement screen
Glad it helped!
2013 CADILLAC ATS. Best instructional so far. I think the first steps of accessing the entire console by removing cup holder and panels should be included with this video.
You will need to click the description of the video, or check cuescreens.com/support to see the vehicle-specific video on how to get the radio out of the car.
This solved the problem and only took me about 1.5 hours to complete. excellent instructions and easy to follow. thank you!
Nice job
Great video. I have replaced 3 of these touchscreens (Different Vehicles) and always refer to these videos and go step by step with the video.
Awesome job Frank
CUESCREENS - Thank you so much. Had a non-responsive screen. Followed the instructions in detail. Works perfectly! Save a huge amount of coin! Nice job in the video. I would say I was scratching my head when the wireless charging connector was missing. I assumed no issues and moved on. It might benefit from throwing a "pop-up" in the video so rookies like me don't think they have done something incorrect. A thousand thank you's.
Took total of 3 hours to do. Works perfect! Thank u!
Nice job
This did not work for me. Followed step by step. Installed easily. But didn't work afterwards.
UPDATED!!
After advice from CUE screens. I realized it was me and my lack of ribbon connections. But it does work. It does do great!!!
There are 3 reasons for the touch screen not to work after install. You definitely want to check all of this carefully.
1. Read the card inside the box- check part number for compatibility.
2. Insert the screen ribbon cable all the way in.
3. Make sure the ribbon cable is not torn or cut.
@@CUESCREENS definitely the ribbon. Took it back apart. Ribbon was not fully in. Bing bang boom. Thanks!!
I'll be back later with an 'after' update but I can say before even starting that people need to watch this 'how to video' before making their own. Good camera work, lighting and clarity.
I just finished this installation, and the instructions were excellent. Thank you!
3 year anniversary of CUE screen replacement! Flawless!
Thank you man. I really appreciate your help. I followed your guidance as you mentioned in the video and it's pitch perfect. I used to have screen freeze or shaking sometimes and now the screen is working excellent. Thanks a lot again🤓👍
After following your video step by step, I successfully replace my cuescreen and it works perfectly. Thanks for your video!!!
Thank You! Changed my screen today. Video was a great help. Followed step by step and the job went smooth!
LUIS GOMEZ let me know if you would want to replace my CUE screen!
@@missryry We can help!
Awesome video! Just replaced my screen. Step by step instructions were spot on. Thank you for saving me a ton of money!
Thanks! Worked great 👍🏼
I just installed on 2016 srx, had been replaced once under warranty and cracked again shortly after warranty exspired....the video tutorial is very good, hats off, tje only thing i would add is when you install the new screen and the alignment is not so good if pushing on the plastic dowells won't do it you can manipulate the steel tabs to where you need them or at least i was able to and with a little finesse make all the screws, but all in all very happy with the quality of the product and the tutorial great job cuescreens highly recommend
Great tip thanks for the feedback
