You know that terrifying plank walk on the edge of a cliff? We did that. The legendary plank walk on the side of Mount Huashan was the destination for this leg of the trip. Once we found out that it was close to Xian we couldn't resist!
Don't worry moms, we had a lunch date with death and escaped unscathed!

It seems so safe now. When I climbed that mountain 20 years ago, I had no safety rope. I had to hold on to the wire in my bare hands, because I was too young, I may not dare to grasp away now. But still I was proud of the courage, good memory on my life.

I went to Huashan in 2010 with my friends. We started at 9 pm at night, and came back next day at 5 pm.
I love the fact that you talked the culture aspect of the mountain.
I think it needs too much courage to see your video. you are so brave enough that I can't stop admiring

Mount Huashan is regarded as the “No. 1 perilous mountain in China”, so a lot of riskers and mountaineers have been visiting this famous site to experience its heart-stopping dangerous plank paths on the cliffs.
Really liked this one. the views were great. Gotta get a Stair count on that one though ha ha ha.

My thoughts are with the Daoist monks who hacked out all those stairs & places where to put your feet, without any safety...
Ahh you guys didn't even get to do the sketchy stairs! They are on the hike up. If you take the gondola you skip right past them! But those are the stairs that are carved out of the mountain. They are tiny, slippery, and sloped. Some parts are very unsafe.
But very cool review. Brought me back to an awesome trip!

I love to visit beautiful mountains but will not risk life-threatening activity. The mountain is so beautiful and majestic but that part of the hike should be banned from public access.

I know they have some safety procedures but we know crazy people do crazy things and it is not fun to see people falling off that mountain. Whatever! I enjoy your video and can't you cover a little more of the scenery?

It is not that dangerous as you thought. There is harness.
A few months ago a man jumped off that plank walk deliberately, commiting suicide.
