@@SirGrimLockSmithVIII Odyssey/Torment were the previous block, very black heavy versus green/white. Probably, those two extra incarnations were to balance out black's extra goodies in standard at the time.
If not mentioned already Mages' Contest is a card more people need to play in commander. Look it's text is a little hard to determine whether or not it's just you and 1 other player or everyone with it's effect, BUT it's a card that is really fun to use.
Vryn Wingmare does the same as Thalia and Glowrider and is even cheapier, just got reprinted in M21. I considered putting some of these in my God-Eternal Oketra deck alongside Tithe Taker and Aven Mindcensor.

I run grip of chaos. It's a red Asceticism with the added bonus of really screwing with ALOT of common strategies. Graveyard recursion decks really get slowed down when the creatures brought back are random
Wouldn’t a boomerang effect be a better name rather than slingshot? A boomerang gets used and comes back to you versus a slingshot which just launches something. Just an idea.
Worst part about grip of chaos is that you won't be able to destroy it, if there are a bunch of other enchantments on the table, since your spells probably won't hit it.

I replayed it when you said Grand Me-leeeee xD It was funny to hear you mispronounce Melee :D I tried to make a White/Green archer deck since alot of archers use "deal damage to attacking/blocking creature" it an interesting concept but kinda slow and not for fast games.
Godhead of Awe seems like a slam dunk in Storvald. Throw Rancor or even be thematic and put Steel of the Godhead on something and go to town every combat!
So about coin flips. There a win trigger lose trigger. Not getting the lose trigger on a card does not = winning the coin flip unless stated by card. Tavern or Zndrsplt only trigger when you win a coin flip not when you *don't* lose a coin flip. So cards like Mana crypt don't give you two treasures for "not losing" the coin flip. It's a stupid semantical rule that probably should be changed in the future Edit: I very much could be wrong here. Though I've seen this debated all the time
Yoooo Graceful Reprieve... I haven't really looked a whole bunch into Morningtide. Grand Melee could go into my Karazikar (the Eye Tyrant) goad brew. Glory looks pretty cool.
here's a funny one to krenko players Goblin Lookout + Thornbite Staff can help you kill any one if you have 20+ goblins and atleats one of them hits a player :^)
Grip of chaos is very strong, became a feature card of mine since I unpacked it years ago, now it shines in my Norin deck where it makes a lot of people angry, especially on Cockatrice
I think there are just better Goblin Lords that you don’t need to go there. As for Grip of Chaos, the funniest thing I saw happen was a Muldrotha player Bojuka Bog himself…and he still ended up winning.
oh i can go one better with Glory lets think about it with Pariah pariah's shield Empyrial Archangel Palisade Giant Gideon's Sacrifice what those do is it deals damage to the creature instead of you with glory you just say the correct with glory color and you and that creature take no damage

Also grip of chaos + knowledge pool is a fun deck. Turns it into roulette.

Did you know Angelic Renewal? It's the enchantment version of Graceful Reprieve. Like a white Kaya's Ghostform, except it isn't an aura.

I think the existence of Goblin Sledder as a repeatable sac/pump, despite not being an anthem, is one reason lookout is less played

Just put goblin grenadiers in Dina wild mage deck she can make lots of them attack for the triggers plus barbarian class can give some of them menace

I made my Zurzoth deck more chaotic and I have Grip of Chaos and Possibly Storm in it. It’s so much fun
I ran grateful reprieve in my feather the redeemed deck for the longest time, definitely won some games just by keeping me in the fight.

Glowrider and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben seem like great picks for a Kaalia deck with creatures doing all the control work.
There’s also Vryn Wingmare, literally just Glowrider with wings (i.e., flying).

I'm all for chaos, but Grip of Chaos is legitimately unfun. Goblin Game is a better alternate, imo.
