- Unquestionably one of the most iconic loudspeakers of all time, Bowers & Wilkins' Nautilus is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
To mark the milestone, Bowers & Wilkins has created a unique pair of Nautilus finished in a stunning Abalone Pearl paint, a dramatic finish fitting of this landmark anniversary. It's particularly relevant since it's also the colour of the internal shell of the marine mollusc that inspired the Nautilus name.

Thank you for the upload. I have been able to enjoy this exceptional speaker several times. I have to say, it has more than swept me away every time. It blew me away. You can argue about the look, but not about the sound this speaker emits.
I'm absolutely not a B&W fan yet i absolutely like those. They're just so different!
LOVE the finish of this version. Thank you Laurence! Still Iconic!
Iconic speaker. Thanks
World's First Granite Open Baffle Speakers from MACO Acoustic are Revelatory !
This changes everything...
Exceptional
I'm a fan of Dynaudio loudspeakers.
But one day I heard these boxes, and I regretted not being able to afford them. They're fantastic.
Amazing
Fibonnaci shape cannot go wrong. Its just something different hearing this
I had a pair of B&W DM70s like the white pair behind but in Walnut.Wonderful sounding hybrid electrostats.Makes me sad that I sold them.On some music they are the best.
Good music!
Gorgeous speakers
Nice to look at and great too listen
But too expensive for me
Listening to this on my Px8. Amazing headphones, undoubtedly the best purchase I ever made. I also use THX Spatial Audio to set my own EQ. I have not heard them distort even once, and never before have I heard audio so clear in my life. Each and every detail so clear, soundstage so wide, sound separation on point. B&W know what they are doing. Initially I held Bose in high regard, mostly because my Dad was impressed by the 901. But Bose has lost their engineering prowess imo. B&W is where engineering meets form and function. My next purchase will be the Formation bar and bass.
i am sure that i would prefer the original 800n to the later D - D4 versions. It's sad that those speakers need so much power that they dont pair well with tubes. Especially considering the price drop they had... It's an incredible speaker for the 5k range it is in today. But yes, you have to feed them with Behemoths of transistors in a/b, as far as i had the chance to test the smaller iterations. Enjoy!
I want to buy a pair to listen to and a pair to store in a humidity and temperature controlled vault.
i'd wish to have 4 kidneys... that thing is sooo beautiful😍
Ever drop one of those?
I wish i were rich... those would be one of the first things i would buy.
Chông nó thật đẹp ❤❤❤❤
I think it deserves a facelif
Can yall finish the BW PI7 wireless headphones first? Paid 300 for connectivity flaws...? Half the time you use it, it wakes to buzzing. Hmmm.
Never got that form, was it supposed to be an inner ear???
Sound of head banging on wall.....It is based on the Nautilus shell.
I wonder how these speakers would sound, made from large block of aluminum block, using a CNC machine to cut it out?
Would make more (manufacturing) sense to cast it, rather than finding a way to machine a shape such as that.
@@StereoNET you probably could use a sand 3-D printer, to print the interior, to cast aluminum over it. Then just break it out when you’re done.
PERBACCO!!! A che serve?
The Nautilus was always a proof of concept design. B&W always said the original Nautilus 801/802s were sonically better speakers.
I have the 800 Matrix. How does that compare to the Nautalis?
Honest answer? Believe me, there are worlds in between. There are worlds between the Diamond 800 D3 and the Nautilus. I don't know what Amplifier you have in use. I heard the Nautilus with the Devialet Expert 1000 Pro fully class D amps. It was an another own world. I had from the first moment tears in my eyes and pure goosebumps. I will never forget this presentation. The problem was the price for the whole presentated setup. The other thing is, since this presentation is that hardly anything else comes so close.
@@btsr2553 Wow. I’d love to hear them. My first amp I had with the Matrix 800s was a Krell FPB 600. ( All bass). Now I have the Audio Research Ref 750s. Sounds phenomenal. Also using the Audio Research Ref 6SE pre amp. And Krell B&W BAFs. (Bass alignment filters ). 2- Balanced.
Its an ingenius design. Super low diffraction. What you hear in most other speakers is the diffraction
The Matrix are great for massive soundstages, like orchestra. The Nautilus simply shines at every dimension.
why I play the lottery, these are!
Now they just need a carbon fibre skin finish!
What is the "box" material. What is the shell made of?
It's funny how hard it is to find this info?
Anyone?

And at 100,00$ it's a steal.
This speaker has an interesting and beautiful design, but unfortunately it does not sound good. That speaker sounds like it has no bass at all.
Were you there?
ok ok, just because you have British accent just take my wallet..
PERBACCO! Anzi perbacchino da non confondere con tabacchino che è tutt'altra cosa
when designer lead the engineer, bulshit speakers.
With only 21 comments I'd say it's not that important...
You hi ear them hey?
Scary price tag..$$$$$$$
Hi ear better speakers this is only marketing.
