My dad Robert Taylor created Goof Troop as well as produced/directed almost all the Disney afternoon cartoons. We got a copy of the snes game before it was released for free and I was glad to see it was actually a good game. I still have that game we got gratis from capcom.
it totally is, if you like Lucasarts style point and click adventures such as Sam & Max or Day of the Tentacle, Blazing Dragons is right up your alley.
In "The Warriors" you can hold up to 9 cans of spray at a time. You can also beat up the spray dealers to get a free can of spray. The dealers are tougher than average fighters though so be careful.
New Ghostbusters II does use music from the movie. Aside from the Ghostbusters theme at the title screen & end credits, the Subway level is a chiptune version of "Flip City" by Glen Frey and the River of Slime level is a chiptune "We're Back" by Bobby Brown.
Love that New Ghostbusters II is in here. I'm sure this has been mentioned elsewhere in the comments, but Ghostbusters II on the Game Boy (which did come here) is basically a port of the Famicom game.

The true follower of the Game plays on all platforms. But i personally dislike the idea of exclusives, when you have to choose between playing the games you so want to play or playing together with your friends who own the other system...
I Have never watched the game chasers but about a year ago every time I started to type GameSack into youtube it would bring up Game chasers. How dare youtube think I would watch anything other than Gamesack.

I just gotta mention Gundam Wing Endless Duel for the Super Famicom, that's one of my favourite fighting games, truly arcade-quality fighting on the SNES, and one of the best fighters of that whole generation! It's also got a spectacular soundtrack, as you'd expect from Natsume.
That was a different game, it ran on the same engine, but it didn't play quite the same, nor did it run quite as smoothly, so it kinda pales in comparison to GWED...
You really should play Stick of Truth. It has a more traditional RPG battle system. I prefer Stick of Truth over Fractured But Whole, but both games are good.
The best 8th Generation game I've played based on a film or TV show and was actually good is "Mad Max." One of the best $5 bargain bin games I've ever had along with "Valkyria Chronicles" (PS3) and "Sonic CD" (Sega CD).
One great flaw about Transformers: Devastation...you have to buy a physical copy of the game as Activision lost the rights to the Transformers franchise and you can't download it digitally....but I found me a copy on Amazon for the XBox1 for a fair price. It should be noted that this game was released a means to push sales of Combiner Wars Devastator which as I have seen in videos is true to the original G1 releases, just with slightly better articulation.
Pretty sure it was a PS Plus game quite a while ago. I thought it was fun but definitely a little rinse and repeat. Not uncommon for the genre but playing in the Transformer universe with the transformation abilities kept it fun for me.

I loved it. It's no longer available digitally, but you can still find used copies pretty cheap. I know everyone loves the War for/Fall of Cybertron games, but I prefer Devastation.
Transformers is now delisted for PC and from the digital console stores. If you want it and why wouldn't you, you go physical. Best get it before the price gets silly.
the downside of transformers devastation though was that only the autobots were playable, and the decepticons were simply left as enemies. i personally liked stick of truth over fractured though, probably because i like a simple turn based rpg over a grid based rpg
I'm not sure if they talked about DuckTales Remastered already, but I think that it's pretty good! Whether you're playing on 360, PS3, Wii U or PC, it's s game that has to be played. I haven't played the original, but I'm sure that Capcom and Disney made an excellent decision to sign on WayForward. The music is amazing, the graphics are awesome and the voice lines, while repetitive at times, are a welcome addition. They even brought back most of the voice actors from the show! It's kinda short, with maybe 7 or 8 levels, but it makes up for that with a ton of replay value and stuff to unlock. To top it off, it's pretty cheap! It usually costs around $20, but I picked it up from the eShop for under $5. All in all, I highly recommend it if you're a fan of the original or if you're looking for a fun challenge.
I actually read The Warriors not too long ago. It's very good, but nothing at all like the movie. It just takes the very basic idea. A big meetup between gangs goes wrong, and the main characters have to get back home. Pretty much everything else is different. Still very good though.
Knocked out of the park with these games. Great selections from start to finish. Nice to see Blazing Dragons get some love. Easily one of the highlights from the PS1 and Saturn libraries. Unfortunately the game had reviews all over the place at the time of release so it got wrongly overlooked. If you like adventure games then it's highly recommended. Keep up the great show. Everything about Blazing Dragons screams 90's PC point-and-click adventure (even the music is clearly General MIDI adapted to Playstation sound chip). I am surprised the PC version hasn't come out at all. I think, the main reason why this gem of a game was overlooked is that Sony Playstation (and Sega Saturn) didn't have enough audience appreciating this sort of slow-paced, puzzle-focused, humorous story and dialogues-driven games, by that time even on PC the interest in the genre started to decline, although on PC the game would have probably done better.

Megatron transforming into a tank makes more sense than turning into a tiny gun, it's one of the things I really didn't understand when watching the show back in the day.
I was so frustrated when AVGN didnt even mention the best Ghostbusters game during his famous Ghostbusters game review series back then. Im not from america and here we were getting all games released on NES including japan only ones. Everybody was playing this version of ghostbusters when i was in school. Before the internet i was pretty sure this was a popular ghostbusters game.
He actually did cover it but it was a completely separate video from AVGN and wasn't really promoted on his channel in any way. More of an afterthought. Smh.
megatron should have been a tank always. i thought it was stupid how he shrinks and some other decepticon shoots him as a handgun. he doesn't even seem to have as much firepower as in robot form so why would he ever turn into a gun? his arm cannon is way more powerful by the looks of it.

Keys can still be found on sites like G2A, but it's easier to get it on consoles. Same with deadpool on those systems, which is really good.

One of the best TV show games I've ever played was the Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law game. It was a joint effort between [adult swim] and Capcom and so it's basically if the Harvey Birdman cartoon played like Ace Attorney. The humor, voice acting, and animation are all perfect, and the ONLY downside is that the game is pretty short, but it's still one of the better licensed games I've played.
Since we got Nintendo Switch games? Capcom if they had any brains left? They need to make a Walt Disney Classic Collection which features all NES and SNES games on Disney games.
Dunno why, but when i hear the outro music i always feel nostalgic over something that i legit can't describe, and when the fucking outro music can make me and many others like this you know you did a great job in the rest of the show.
I love Stage 5 from Goof Troop (SNES), aka The Caverns. The name of the track is “Lose My Way”. That one room covered in ice that sparkles is just awesome.
Game Sack are like Saturday morning cartoons except it's at night... Oh and thanks for reminding me the existence of that cartoon Blazing Dragons it used to play on tv (in Canada).
This was already covered in a previous episode (not 116) but Phantom 2040 kept popping up in my head when it comes to good TV tie-in games. Of course, a large chunk of the Disney Capcom games (Talespin being a huge exception) are also great stuff along with the ones from Virgin Games. The Goonies on the Famicom was fun for the short time I got to play it and a lot simpler than it's sequel so no need to worry about language barriers (I think). Finally, the more recently released Dragon Ball FighterZ is some of the most fun I've had with a fighting game in some time. Story could've been paced better but the fighting itself is top notch.
Good call on Transformers, fellas. As a fan of Transformers since '84 that was the game I was waiting for. Amazing playthrough for fans. You can always count on Game Sack for quality.
The Game Chasers are great. The only problem is that, anytime I watch more than two episodes of their show in the same day, I get severe, explosive, violent bouts of diarrhea. And I don’t like diarrhea.

Worked for me just a month and a half ago.
I hate the South Park show, but the stick of truth is actually fun and had even had me chuckling while playing. The sequel was also fun

I love Stage 5 from Goof Troop (SNES), aka The Caverns. The name of the track is “Lose My Way”. That one room covered in ice that sparkles is just awesome.

This was already covered in a previous episode (not 116) but Phantom 2040 kept popping up in my head when it comes to good TV tie-in games. Of course, a large chunk of the Disney Capcom games (Talespin being a huge exception) are also great stuff along with the ones from Virgin Games. The Goonies on the Famicom was fun for the short time I got to play it and a lot simpler than it's sequel so no need to worry about language barriers (I think). Finally, the more recently released Dragon Ball FighterZ is some of the most fun I've had with a fighting game in some time. Story could've been paced better but the fighting itself is top notch.

The Game Chasers are great. The only problem is that, anytime I watch more than two episodes of their show in the same day, I get severe, explosive, violent bouts of diarrhea. And I don’t like diarrhea.
