Yes, good. I just finished my project and spent a lot of time creating many components using all widgets and custom code. Today, FlutterFlow launched the library with all components.😂😂😂
Super exciting! UI has always been a significant challenge in FlutterFlow. If all these components are implemented with proper customization, it will be a major win for FF. I’ve been working with FlutterFlow for months, and this single announcement stands out as the most exciting one for me to date. Let’s just hope it will be fully implemented and does not become a half-finished project.
Unlike most other commenters on here, I just finished testing the library in a test project. You have less than 20% of the shadcn library in terms of complexity available in your flutterflow implementation. And of the shadcn library components you chose to implement the vast majority are already in the basic flutterflow library (button, etc). Now that the video announcement is done, Cody's work begins. Hope that this doesn't become another longstanding half-finished Flutterflow feature.
@@FlutterFlow the delta between flutterflow's basic ui components and shadcn (This means the more complex ones) with the goal to reach a 1:1 parity *before* losing interest in the project and moving on to another announcement-worthy idea and leaving this one behind. A library like this is much more useful to FF users when complete *and* maintained than the sum of its half-finished parts. That's because it's the kind of library that your users will have as a dependency across all their projects. Also, UI components from dependencies appear very different in the subproject editor (appears many times in your video) than compared to how they would appear if they were built within the project itself that need addressing if you'd like people to "flow" while building. Hope this helps.
You guys are absolute rockstars!!! I want to personally give shout out on this HUGE WIN! I followed along with the video. Is there a way for us to change the color of the component we added in? Or is this a feature that will be coming soon?
I was deciding between learning React Native or using FlutterFlow since I’m already familiar with React and Supabase. However, this just makes it clear, I will be using FlutterFlow.
1:50 John great video, I have a question why you need to import this font I was thinking FF supports all Google fonts out of the box and you can just select them?
Hello! I have a question. I wanted to test the library on a new project before integrating it into my existing application. However, when I create a new project and add the library, I’m unable to perform a test build-I always get a build failure. I tried creating the project without adding the library, and it works fine. But as soon as I add the library, it crashes. Could you help me? There isn’t even any error message displayed.
This looks very cool. My only question is: If this is a library developed by Flutterflow devs why aren't these components already integrated into Flutterflow natively?
It wasn’t natively developed by the devs. This is probably THE MOST popular ui library that has existed for a few year now, used on many sites and apps you’ve used.
Flutterflow didn’t create this. This is a good choice if you don’t care about platform specific components and just want it to look exactly the same on all platforms and not platform specific designs.
It appears that only a small subset of the Shadcn components are available in this library. I was hoping to use the sidebar and a few others but they are missing. Disappointing.
It seems good, but it is too confusing to use, what we need is to create a base project and from this make other projects but that these new projects are updated as the base project is updated
Has anyone tried to programmatically add menu items? I want to add a list of client names (only about 5) but want to build them from a loop through a list of clients - but I just can't figure it out - anyone done it?
Can you guys PLEASE add native platform widgets like Context Menus (ones that are native to Cupertino and Material and windows) action sheets, modal popup menus, etc. PLEASE, and also add options for making Home Screen and wearable device widgets

😂😂 sorry about that
😂😂😂😂😂 you are not alone

Watching your videos is DELIGHTFUL. More of these tutorials please!
No way, just what i was looking for a couple of weeks ago, amazing!

Hi, what are the most important components for you that are missing?
@@FlutterFlow Make all of them available, especially charts. The whole library is amazing
@@FlutterFlow Data table and charts would be amazing

Woahhhhhh FlutterFlow beat me to it.
I was building one and hoping to publish to the marketplace too.
This is AMAZING!
FF always beats us!
Good lord! Been waiting for this for so long!!!
This is beautiful, excited for flutter

This is freaking dope.. have to use this for an upcoming project
Wow❤❤so excited to try this 🎉🎉🎉
This is going to be huge!
This is amazing! 🚀🚀
I didn't get it, So you've rebuilt a Shadcn component in FlutterFlow? I was expecting the components to be readily available.
I was deciding between learning React Native or using FlutterFlow since I’m already familiar with React and Supabase. However, this just makes it clear, I will be using FlutterFlow.
React native is free
Great work
This is insane🤩🤩
Dope !
1:50 John great video, I have a question why you need to import this font I was thinking FF supports all Google fonts out of the box and you can just select them?
Why don’t people use Material 3 ?
Awesome!
Love it!

I tried using it but could not find a way to customize the colors to match my theme colors.
sadly adding this as a dependency just creates errors in all of my custom functions for some reason.

We will be continually adding additional components and Sidebar is in development. Any other components you want?
@@FlutterFlow Some charts would be nice.
How can I add a proper password field with shadcn? So far I cant figure out how to hide the users input..
❤❤❤
wow cool

This is some sick shit 🥵🔥🔥

Homescreen widgets can only be done in native code. For example for iOS widgets they needed to be created in SwiftUI.
update revenue cat tutorial please guys❤
Is it just me or creating my own component is much faster i don't understand why to use this library ?!
I was following along until realising adding libraries is a Premium feature
cool idea , but meh
