Im in my 30s and I only found out about 18 months ago that some people dont consider themselves to have much/any inner monologue like that at all. I always assumed - like me - people had that going on almost every waking moment.
Makes sense. Some people I meet definitely _act_ like there's nothing but a slight breeze shifting around up there.

Some of the best anecdotes involved the POV I think. The scene on the bus with the weird kid hanging over the seat :D then seeing Mark and Jez sitting next to eachother was genius :)

funny hearing them talking about how pov filming is awkward gimmicky and jarring. today it seems perfectly natural and will age well because of the rise of youtube and vlogging

I think she does explain quite well why Peep Show is so appealing. She doesn't actually believe men don't have a consciousness, but she has a point about how men are generally much less emotionally expressive, or that they are at least perceived that way.
In Peep Show, the actual thing that people _see_ is what we see. It makes it eerily real, even if the situations are often otherworldly. And it brings into focus things like Jeremy's facial expressions, and of course the attempt to articulate their inner self with words.

Misandry. Imagine that being said about women. A man's carrier would be ruined after uttering that.

I love everything about this show, but I gotta say... the opening theme from series 1 suits its embarrassing/cringeworthy/uncomfortable humour more than the current one. Still, been counting the minutes until series 8 comes out!

People can't read sarcasm on the internet. Or at least if there's room for it, at least one person will fall for it. That just combines with the fact that I think we are actually trying to make an "american version"

When I watched Series 1, I thought the POV was messy. You didn´t alway know when the characters were thinking, or actually saying things.
Over the nexts seasons they leave that behind. When someone had a mental monologue, the camara would show his face, leting us know he isn´t speaking. Also, they started to changing to voice volumen.
In my own opinion, Peep Show always was funny AF, but they got their true Mojo at the end of Season 2.
