Right. And not off the last 2 or 3 weeks of the season, it's just based off of 1 game. Now if Lamar Jackson had comparable numbers to Purdy like Dak does, then I would say the better QB this season won. But he doesn't have comparable numbers to Purdy, in fact he has mediocre numbers at best.

After the 42-10 shalacking we put on dem boyz, Cowboys fans asked me how did it go from 19-12 in the playoffs to this. And I always tell them it's simple, y'all didn't get any better, as where Brock Purdy did. And that was the difference between 19-12 with a hot rookie at QB, & 42-10 with a one more year experienced Brock Purdy. Now imagine how effing good he's going to be in year number three.
The TD pass to BA in the Washington game was a thing of beauty too, Chase. His escapability from the pocket and 10 yard split time was on full display. And then to direct Aiyuk back to the left while on the run?! Very reminiscent of Joe and Steve.
After so many close superbowl run and not winning it all. Drafting Purdy is a god sent. Finally a quarter back who can play consistently at the position and put points on the board. Let’s go Niner. Let’s win let it all this year to silence all the hater and solidify this year team into history.
Chase, great stuff. I recognize the play against CIN is exactly the same as the one against AZ (at 7:48). Right guard pulls, Jus motions left, chip the D end and go out to the left, fake to the RB going to the right. Purdy does a left handed drop. (On the right side) Deebo running a clear out, Aiyuk running a get lost corner. The only difference is Kittle stayed to block vs AZ, and vs CIN he ran a middle go. Against CIN, with the RG pulled, it created a B gap for the CIN player to blitz, and RT picked the C cap player (wide) to block, leaving a free running #95 that Purdy had to spin out of. And he did a great job improvising and finding Aiyuk down field wide open as a result of the DB falling.
That play to Aiyuk at the 9:14 mark perfectly illustrates the kind of guile Purdy can use against an opponent. It's something many people don't pick up on with Purdy, although why it isn't really discussed much is beyond me. His spatial awareness is so outstanding that it affords him the time to let his eyes and his impeccable footwork con you into moving where he wants you to go. I've seen him pull it off many times. When he's on, he could sell ice to an Eskimo. And he's on WAY more than he's not on.
They passed him up for Dak for All Pro. Ridiculous considering all the special marks Purdy hit. oh well. Thanks for the breakdown. Purdy won't care about All Pro if he wins a ring and probably Super Bowl MVP in that scenario
Because Brock was a 7-round pick (Mr. Irrevalent), he was not supposed to make the team, let alone be a starter. But Shanahan saw something in this book called Brock. 1st round fail picks get more respect than Brock. Kurt Warner was even drafted, and he got more respect (before his Super Bowl wins) than Brock. Brock has the respect of his teammates; that is all that matters to him. The old saying, "Never judge a book by its cover." Maybe teams should open these 7 round books and read what's inside instead of trashing them.

IMO Purdy truly only had one bad game all season. Maybe the one at Cleveland, but that game was in bad weather, not to mention Purdy put his team in position to win that game. The next week at Minnesota he was having a great game, it was our defense that had a bad game. And then those 2 late INTs that lost us the game was because he suffered a late game concussion. And looking back at the Bengals game, maybe it wasn't smart to start him while he was probably still concussed. Haters like Nick Wright would point to that 3 game losing streak as justification to why Purdy doesn't belong in the upper half of Mahomes Mountain. But at the same time will say nothing about the circumstances of it, other than to say he didn't have all the Avengers playing. No Nick Wright, he was going toe to toe with Kirk Cousins & then was concussed right before he threw those two 4th quarter INTs. Otherwise I have zero doubts he would have won us that game like he did against the Raiders last season. And then Nick's only excuse for not giving Purdy his due would be gone. Which is that he can't bring us back from behind. Which is ridiculous he did it against the Raiders & if not for our sorry ass rookie kicker would have as well against the Browns. And against the Vikings say not for a concussion. It's not Purdy's fault he almost always has us in the lead.🤷🏽♂️

Actually Maybe 2 games since his FG kicker missed a game winning FG..first career playoff game had 3TD 0 INT, just like cj stroud today but stroud gets love for it and purdy doesn’t? Says a lot. I've been watching Collin Schlee film lately. With the naked eye, he looks like a Purdy-esqe player for the later rounds. He'd be a great backup behind Purdy

I don't understand how you could just throw away the best QB season this year to give the MVP award to a QB who had a mediocre season. Ya, Lamar Jackson beat us & had a great game against the Dolphins the next week. But the MVP award is a full season award, not a last 2 games of the season award. If that's the case then maybe we should be giving it to Joe flacco for his last few weeks of the season. At the very least it should be a Co-MVP this year. Although if I had a vote, it would still just be Brock Purdy's award.
