Jonny obviously commands respect because he is knowledgeable, patient, willing to jump in to help at any level (including answering phones), and has a positive personality to go with all those great characteristics. Can Ninja videos are a pleasure to watch.

And lastly, I am very impressed with your demeanor and how even tempered you are; doing your own work, supervising, helping employees, huge fuel dump on a hot Kansas day, dealing with customers, you manage to maintain a level of chill that is well beyond my thresholds. As others before have seen, your level/depth of patience is amazing.

I was at my local mechanic recently and watching I realized how hard of a job it is to run a shop. part technician, part teacher, part therapist, part logistics.

Great to see troubleshooting in action (I work in software engineering and see similar approaches to problems - a lot of it is down to attitude, patience). Kudos to the video producer here - like the documentary format of this channel.

Im hooked on the Car Ninja. Its a pleasure to watch Johnny working out problems coupled with his focus and attention when dealing with issues. It would be nice to see him work a bit safer and wear proper PPE when working with his hands. Those chemicals getting on his skin is not healthy. Its the long term effects that may harm. Other than that he is very methodical and has a great work ethic. ( something see very little of these days) Love the channel as I have a e90 330xi and a 128i

8+ hours on your feet; supervising rookie techs; trying to keep your train of thought on what you're working on; answering phones (probably during your lunchbreak); finding parts on the ordering system. By 5pm I guess you are mentally exhausted, and physically tired. At least re-chargeable hand tools probably lessen the need for noisy air tools, and save you from RSI's. Well done Johnny - this was a great video. Do another one like this soon please !

Does your shop ever get slow? 😂 I got 20 plus years working on cars, mostly Asian. After watching your channel I'm thinking of working on euro stuff. Your shop if fully full. I need to open my own shop. Honesty is the best policy. Customers will return, as long as you tell them straight up and give them there options. Vehicles these days are complex, it's better to specialize in one region of vehicle companies then try to work on everything. So glad your living life and working hard, makes me more motivated to open my own shop. Thanks for the videos 😊

I like Jonny's videos where he starts and finishes the job, but seeing what goes on in his 'normal' day is also extremely entertaining. I would like to see more like this, however the only improvement I suggest is where he gets involved in another job with his guys, if he can explain the problem on that vehicle to cause him to be involved. It loses some continuity otherwise. Keep up the good work team.

I wish the independent shop near me (Howland Autohaus) was open on Saturdays. They are 8-5 M-F. That'd be fine if they weren't 35 miles west. I'm in the sweet spot between dealers or indie shops. Germain Mercedes is 72 miles away, Crown Mercedes 90 miles and Astorg Motor Cars is 100 miles. I guess I'm doing some of my own maintenance.

Car Wizard: "If the book rate for a job is 8 hrs but I can do it in four, I am still going to charge you for eight because I have to make a living." Jonny: "I am going to show you my entire eight hour day in seventeen minutes." Welcome Mason! Wow! A cameo from Sophia! I am in LOVE! Somebody tried to cheap out on that Mercedes with a $50 battery and that Mercedes wasn't having it. Come on, MB owner. Treat that Mercedes like a Mercedes or get a Honda or a Toyota you can afford. Name brand batteries are not THAT expensive.

Let's be clear Car Wizard is an average mechanic, period. He, and his shop, have been propped up by Tyler Hoover's popularity and that's fine. It's entertainment.
But here is a fact...several reputable shops in Kansas, including Jonny's, have taken in cars previously worked on by Car Wizzard to correct shotty work.
If you have the skills, you don't have to constantly inform people of how good you are.
      wiz-ard (noun)
      1. A man who has magical powers, especially in legends and fairytales.

Hey Ninja, i guess you know it, but there is an inexpensive special tool that looks like a tensioner (Mini Cooper), that you screw in instead of the tensioner. In the mid is a "screw", that you tighten and it pushes the chain in. You mesure the way the screw goes in. You can measure, if the length of the chain is correct in spec. Cheers
