Hi there Roger. Thanks again for all your videos. I have done all what you show us, and great it all worked well, until now.
Today I wanted to engrave some words and wierd thing happened, the first letter was fine but each next letter went deeper and deeper in the material. I had set all the letters to be engraved in the same depth. Maybe you know what could be the problem? Could it be the machine? I have calibrated the axis several times and it goes correct. Please please help if you know what could be the problem. Thank a million.
HI Roger, hope u can help me out, im new to this CNC, but i have build the machine whit Nema 34 stepping motors, but i still missing the spindle, so i wanna ask what kind of spindel are u using at the end of this video, i like it :)

Dear Roger. Thank you so much for your videos, they help a lot. Just wondering maybe you can help me something. I am quite new with all this programm and the cnc machine, so it doesn't come easy for me. But the thing I am struggling now is that i don't know how I get the machine cut/engrave in exact place I need. I think i might of miss putting some details in Mach3 or something. And the worst part is that for some reason the spindle goes right into the material, how and where should i fix that it stops exactly where the materail begins? I am sorry if my questions are stupid, but I had tried to figure this out myself but no luck. I would so appreciate your help. Best regards, Agnese

Thank You, Roger so much. I did check and watch your videos many times, I must of been doing something wrong. I noticed one thing though, that my image is out of the table as well, how you get it in the middle, you say, just need to jog it over, but what are you doing?

you never explained how is it that you scaled the eagle to fit on your bed? i used the road runner example and when i load it its VERY small i cant get it to be as big as my bed.

seemed like he zoomed in with the mouse wheel altering the field of view on the simulation monitor, i don't think it scaled the job down altering it's x an y values, which is what I'd like to know is possible or not, and if so, how.

If i start up mach3 cnc everything works only the router is not responding to anything.. Its like the router does not see the pc....Do you now what to do?
Would this program work for any Cnc machine ? I have one from China and I can’t get the software that it came with installed so I was wondering if I can get my Cnc machine running with this ?

hi, I have a question. iam about to move a big router CNC machine from one shop to a different shop and i will need to disconnect all the wires , will it be a problem to set it up when i will assemble it back in a second shop. or just plug and play . other words will i have to program machine after disconnecting all the wires from control box . shouldnt if you have your settings saved in Mach 3. I unplugged myne and moved it cross the country twice

Hello how can change speed in feed rate after +10 about i want 16 speed , how can i change that ,because if you push + or - after 10 ...he always goes +20,+30,+40,+50.....but i want example 37, where a can type that on keyboard .Thanks

Set your G54 work offset then press regen in Mach3

Good day, I have a problem with the travel in the cars of X and Z on a lathe, I adjust them in settings and in mill I move them and they run the distance with precision. but on turning I move it .1 "the X axis and it moves .210" and on the Z axis I move it .1 "and it moves 0.030" thanks.

Not sure if you can help or not. I have my CNC, home built, with a Pokey57cnc controller. When I select machine coordinate and then click on the ref all home button none of my axis move and the DRO’s go to zero. Would you have any ides why the axis don’t move? Thank you.

I have mach3 set up for metric but dro showing inches. how can I get it to show metric values.
did u fix that ? You have to change it in the config. THEN YOU HAVE TO SET ALL MOTOR TUNING TO INCHES. And also your limits

can you help me fix my home and soft limits? my bed is Y-279 & X+203 Z+57 and i currently have my HOME at our SW corner of the cnc mil with the Z axis all the way up thats HOME

Roger Webb THANK for your response, the issue is that it seems that when im home Y&Z should be moving away from 0 "home" in the Positive direction? but as you see by my setup one is in the - & the other is in the + direction so if i run a G-code from your software one axis will not be heading into the center of the material but away

Ok, now I understand, go into config (top left hand
side) of Mach 3 window. Then click on home and limits in this window you can
change the individual axes from + to - this should sort your problem out.

You need to get a licence for Mach3 from Artsoft, it is locked at 500 lines as a demo
this is not true as i did exactly what you did and my machine smashed into the side in both directions . i have a cnc 3040on mach 3
Well I got a good one for you mine cut letters backwards what is wrong
I would say that the X + and X- are backwards and I can only suggest that you will need to go into MACH3 and swap them around.
