    I shorten a 67 Chevy Frame and didn't do one single thing to it , i simply got a short bed Frame 67 truck, $600 for the whole Truck , cab was junk but Frame was A-1 . No cutting , No Welding

    Im doing one my self but no cutting involved just moved control arms forward 1 foot still have enough room for travel with out touching the frame then just cut it off at the rear of frame.will be done soon.And relocate spring purches and shock mounts.

    You mentioned rounding the corners, I saw one done like that and they used a hole saw on the piece being removed before the cuts were made, then used a grinder to round the cut corners to match!

    • @superioraddiction1
      @superioraddiction1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep exactly. I did that on my last frame before this one. Just a little more work but nice rounded corners instead of sharp points. It’s all preference I guess.

    • @superioraddiction1
      @superioraddiction1  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, my welder is a 240 volt. It’s an old school systematic mp175 but it works fantastic. I did use a 110 miller 211 on my previous build.

    I was going to shorten my frame then I found in classic industries you can buy brand new frame rails my frame was in bad shape so it was better for me to buy new
