Might not be available to everyone but the BEST bait by far for catfish and trot lines is big catalpa worms!

Just getting into trotlining and I am enjoying your videos. Have you ever used wild hog as bait? I have an endless supply of it (kill dozens monthly) and would love to use them for something (can't eat em all). Thank you!

Thank you for watching! I haven’t used hog but no doubt it would work. I always use fish, chicken, and deer meat. For me they work best in that order also. Let me know how it turns out if you try it.

@@GeorgiaAssassin Quite poorly... Caught mostly red ear and softshell turtles, like 15+ of them. Set out 40 hooks twice with unflavored hog and 40 twice with lots of garlic powder seasoning on it. I think I caught one 5ish pound channel he whole time. Immediately following that I tried some chicken liver and caught 10 over those same 40 hooks. Thanks for the reply!

just try it then you will know but try it say like 10 times then it will give you better results to judge by. we have tons asian carp at ky lake i can use cut bait asian carp and rod at dam and smash em and big ones. i put the same cut bait on trotline on the main lake and with 500 hooks caught 100 lbs which is on the very low side and rare for me to do that bad so i dont like it. but ive only tried it once and also it was more fresh then letting it sit and get stinky lol. but try everything and try tons of spots then you will know what works and what doesnt and what areas during season work ect. im also very new to it at ky lake and been doing it for a month. had some good days and some bad days but my avg isnt so great but hopefully after i learn more and more and learn the patterns ect ill do better in future.

Bro, what happened to your whisker lure bait? I'm trying to get some from the site but it's coming up as a blank page with nothing available.

Man, I had to pull it off the website because my wholesalers are buying everything I can make. One man operation with a full time job, it’s impossible to keep up during peak season. I really appreciate your interest in the product. Please check back in from time to time. Hopefully, I’ll be able to restock soon.

@@GeorgiaAssassin I understand, brother. Keep doing your thing, be the best at it. I'll keep checking back. 👍

@@GeorgiaAssassinI see your site has the goods back, is the Whisker Lure the only bait that turtles wont eat, or is that pretty much the same for all of the products? I'm really interested in the CUT N BAIT if turtles will leave it alone. I found a pond that needs cleaning of some cats but the turtles are a bit numerous also.

@@davetremain8997 the only one I know for sure turtles won’t bite is the Whisker Lure. Although I have never had a turtle bite punch or dip bait either.
