Dad: ... Son... Abago never held a sword in his life before going into arena and started cleaving toughest gladiators in the Empire in half. He was just some old peasant with a stick. Never trained. Was slow as hell. Didn't even knew how to properly hold that damn stick. And yet he killed. He killed them all. Novices. Gladiators. Soldiers. The entertainers blessed by the gods. He killed them all in a swirling torrent of red. He riped and tore, until it was done. Son. You will never be like Abago. There is no one like Abago.

Screamed the warrior as jeremus stood over him, with his might stick raised high for all to see before smashing the warriors head, turning it into nothing but a puddle of blood, eye balls, and brain bits. "May hades grant you rest in elysum friend, for you have given me a great fight." Whispered jeremus to himself as the crowed cheered him on, jeremus didn't wish torment upon his enemie, instead he wished happnies in the after life where he can rest for the rest of time.

Abago Faradon wakes up one day and without thinking, begins to walk towards a local pit fight holding only his walking stick. A normally jovial man, he walks past both acquaintance and friend wordlessly on his path. Upon arrival, the pit boss walks the line and sees Abago staring at the ground.
"C'mon old man. What the hell do you think you're doing here?" He sneers.
Abago raises his head and their eyes meet; the pit boss shrinks back almost immediately, apparently seeing the depths of some melting Euclidean hellfire within.
"Eighty..." Abago mutters, "and the deed is done."

As the pit boss hesitates, Abago steps forward with determination. The crowd falls silent, sensing something extraordinary about to unfold. Abago's grip on his walking stick tightens, and suddenly, with astonishing speed and strength, he strikes a pose as if he's about to fight. His body transforms, muscles ripple, and it becomes clear to all that this seemingly feeble old man is a force to be reckoned with.
The pit boss, now visibly nervous, tries to save face. "Alright, let's see what you've got," he stammers, signaling for a fight to commence.
Abago's eyes, once again filled with an unsettling intensity, focus on his opponent. The battle begins, and it's as if time itself has bent to accommodate this astonishing spectacle. Abago, the civilian who started fighting in the Roman gladiator arena, has become a legend in the making. The crowd watches in awe as he displays a level of skill and strength that defies his age and background, earning their respect and admiration.
In the end, Abago emerges victorious, but he doesn't gloat. Instead, he walks away from the pit as quietly as he came, leaving the crowd in awe and the pit boss humbled. Abago's story becomes one of local lore, a testament to the fact that sometimes, the most remarkable warriors emerge from the unlikeliest of places.
That would be a badass D&D intro/backstory. Few years after enjoying retirement, Champion fighter, the PC overhears some folks in the tavern talking about something needing killing. Bored since the arena, he throws his hat into the discussion. Completely neutral, folk hero background. Does what it takes to get coin, but that's second to the thrill of combat. The ruler whose gladiators he killed still wants him dead, not that he pays much mind to it.
This game is really fun, one of my favorite indie games I found in 2023 and the new combat update was great. Dope video bro keep it up!

bought this game like 4 days ago and enjoying it alot. died like 20 times already xD BUT i found a weapon that has ''25% increased damage on NON protected parts'' man that thing melts like crazy.
Apparently being left handed was the secret op move of antiquity.

I did not think a citizen whould be scarrier than a criminal or a veteran gladiador. This dude is killing out of boredom, a true psycopath!

The one thing I feel should be changed is the fact that it seems every battle includes death. Most gladiator battles weren't to death, they were for entertainment and gladiators were expensive to train and expensive to replace.
Besides that the game seems very interesting, I really like the idea of it.

This Citizen is just an isekai character. Killed by Truck-kun one day, woke up the next in this game's world, and decided, even after getting the most comfortable start to life, just to jump into the arena and kill. Proving to be OP AS HELL.
