Hello! Very interesting and Rose-inspiring video! It was very interesting to learn about Rose perfume oils and perfumes from other countries, too.
I want to tell you some details here, which might be interesting for you (and fragrantica didn't mention at all)! About Turkish and Bulgarian roses (because I'm familiar with both of them locally), it's best to get real Rose oils directly from these countries, their own production. Just, it would be most objective and realistic to get most authentic impressions. In Turkey, there is Rosa Damascena sort, which is growing mainly in the region of Isparta (Anatolia), but also in Afyon, Denizli and Burdur. In Bulgaria, the place, where the Roses are growing for centuries, is Karlovo - so called "The Valley of the Roses" and the most spread sort of Rose is Rosa Damascena, but also Rosa Centifolia and Rosa Alba. Best possible oils to try about these Bulgarian roses sortes I've tried from "Bulgarian Rose Karlovo" and Refan. I like how Refan represents these 3 sorts of Roses (they also included so called Black Rose and in their Rose cosmetics lines - Moroccan Rose, also). I think, this will be interesting for you to get and to explore.
    - Turkish brand Rosense: www.rosense.co/ and their international store, where you can buy Turkish Rose Oil:
Rose Essential Oil 100% Pure Turkish (Rosa Damascena) www.amazon.com/Essential-Turkish-Damascena-Therapeutic-Undiluted/dp/B01MZ602O5/ref=sr_1_7?m=A3BSQRN9FOGXO8&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1523322970&sr=1-7
    - Rose from Karlovo: www.cosmeticsbulgaria.com/en/products/body/perfumes/
    - Refan (it's worldwide now, maybe for you will be better from UK website): aromatherapytoday.co.uk/fragrance/roll-on-perfume
I have one request, because you are really so much into this topic! Please, make for us video about so called "Black Rose" and about perfumes with this kind of Rose. I would like to learn more about it! Thank you!

Am yet to try the Rose EO. I am more familiar with the rose absolutes which are much more complex compared to you descriptions of the EO. I'll order so EOs soon to see the difference. I really enjoy the absolute because of the depth and contrast that I get with the sometimes herbal facets...which does not really smell like the popular description of rose. It seems the EOs are "cleaner"? Next month am order more materials so will include some. Looking forward to your next reviews on this topic.

Awesome video Nikhil bhai. Love Rose perfumes even on their own. I have a question though. I hear a lot of negative comments about synthetic perfumes (maybe rightly so) But, scientifically speaking if I create a molecule in the lab with 11.9% Hydrogen and 88.8% Oxygen . It will give me Water. With melting point, boiling point, density and all other properties the same as water because IT IS water. Because that's the fundamental composition of water and it cannot be made any other way. So if I create a fragrance molecule with the same composition as that of any natural oil. How will it be different? Why do synthetics in perfumery do not smell as their natural counterparts?
Edit: My question is do you know if current technology does not allow creation of identical molecules in the lab. Because at the molecular level. The composition of any complex molecule can be re created in the lab. And it will be the same. Because a molecule with exact same composition and properties as suppose say rose oil does not depend on it's place of creation.

Exotic Scents Got it. That's what I was wondering. Ofcourse if only it would have been that easy to clone nature. Thank god it's not. Haha. In retrospect I asked the question just too quickly without giving it much thought. I came to the same conclusion. Thanks for the reply. Always great to discuss such things with people with as much passion and knowledge on the subject matter as you.

Nice video as usual. To me there's no such thing as "the best rose" - it's like asking 10 guys about "the best girl" . Different guys will have different opinions and so on.. By the way bulgarian rose in not light! Sure it's a big sweeter , but not light.I do travel a lot worldwide, but i am bulgarian originaly , and i have friends that do this for a living-i mean the whole rose process from planting to oil extraction/destilation.Also there are dozens of different types of roses that grow in Bulgaria-red,yellow,white,pink roses and sub spicies of what is known outside of Bulgaria as "bulgarian rose".There are different wild roses too.Mid october i'll be in India for 2 weeks-one in Mumbai and 1 week in Kalkuta.I can get some small samples of a different pure exrait rose oils from the guys i was refering earlier , and give the samples to you in person. And i''m taliking actual and pure extrait rose oils-not something you can get in shops. They do sell those oils to high end designer and niche houses. As far as i can remember you're living in Kalkuta-right?

I'm confused...Taif, Bulgarian, & Turkish roses are all damacena, so they're all Damask (Damascus?) rose? and rose de Mai (May rose?) is centifolia? How about Moroccan or Bourbon rose (used in House of Matriarch Kazimi)? so there's basically only 2 types of fragrant roses?

ASQ Safari Oil came in today. I'm absolutely in love with it, it's SO versatile. Extremely comforting without being overwhelming and its performance is absolutely amazing. Thanks Nikhil for helping me discovering this new world of perfumery.
New question for you though. Is there such a thing as a "freshie" middle eastern oil? I ask that because they seem very much to specialize in ouds, attars, etc. the heavier darker notes. Is a type of rose oil the closest thing to a "freshie" fragrance from the Middle East? All the best.

I believe that easterners ie indians, pakistani, iranians, and arabs should be encouraged to extract essential oil with cold ethanol extraction. Hot water distillation sometimes left compound of heat-resistant chemical such as gliserol and citronelol, it is very pungent and giving sense of 'surreality' rather than the real essence of rose beauty.

Its not realy bulgarian rose oil, but essence! Bulgarian rose oil is yellow color and very dust, like a butter.

Those who are romantics at heart are likely to swoon at the opportunity to visit Kalaat M’gouna, especially in the spring. This city in the Dades Valley is famous for one thing: rose. I love moroccan rose. You must try it my friend.
