Yes there is. The problem is there's 100 different things that can cause TMJD and 100 different ways to treat it. It's difficult to diagnose exactly what is causing or caused the TMJD and it could be multiple things. All of these factors make it a very difficult thing to treat properly for every individual.
I use this tape on my face and it gives me a rash if I use it all night. You can test a piece of tape in your arm first to see if you have a reaction. I only have a reaction if it’s left on too long. Different for everyone I’m sure.
How long should this be worn for , like hours per day and how many times per week for recovery? I have a hypermoble disorder and my jaw basically partially stays out of socket. This literally fixes all of the issues that I have been having, but one I removed the tape before bed, the spasms were bad enough to take a muscle relaxer. So it's amazing while it's on, but needs managed when it isn't. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
@@TheMarinounette 4 hours seems to be a good limit for me, but maximum. My muscles get noticably tired around 3.5 so I try to remove it once I realize I'm fighting the tape. The effects seem to last a good while even into the next day. It has noticably helped wake up my face and neck muscles that are normally not working from the nerves being pinched off for so long. My jaw joints also seem to function better, especially if I stay consiously aware and open my mouth gently. Still feels like a long way to go, but this technique seems more manageable than every other failed mouth guard I have tried.
@@CallMe_Kay1990 NP. Tbh I'm lazy and I don't want to have to reapply for the same issues I know I'm going to have to do it for all over again cause KT tape ain't cheap once you find a brand that works for you.

Im trying this for the first time, how long to wear the tape during the day?
Look for the tmj vid that has neck and shoulder in it. Much better. I've wore it a few days.
Try Heali it has magnesium & methol.
That helped. Thanks.
