That gunk reminds me exactly of what was on a vintage Timex I bought. Took me forever to get that thing clean! Definitely gonna pick one of these up to clean all my older watch bracelets. Thanks for the helpful product recommendation. Hoping to see a review of that Seiko too! Looks kind of like a Datejust.

Like I said I tried to clean it by hand first and I couldn't get it as clean as I wanted. I wish I had just got the ultrasonic cleaner right off the bat and saved a bunch of time. And a video on that vintage Seiko will be coming. I actually really like it.

Is that the type of Seiko Roger Moore wore? Though his I believe was quartz.

I think this was the same style he wore in a Bond movie, but his had a good dial, not white.

Thanks for the video. I wonder if this can clean mechanical movements as well

Thanks for watching. You shouldn't put the watch movement in the cleaner, just the bracelet. You could put the case in if you remove the movement but that would be a big hassle.

How has this worked in the long run? And do you know it it can be used with 220v current? Also, is it too big? as for asking a friend to bring it to me from US? or may be hard to transport or take too much space?

Not sure if it works on 220, but I've used it several times, I am really happy with it. It's not very large, it's probably smaller than an American Football if you're familiar with how large those are.

Nice watch, is this a recent arrival to your collection ?

It is, I picked it up off eBay last week. I was looking at a similar modern Seiko model, the SGF204, but it had a silver dial and a jubilee style bracelet. I wanted something in a white dial and I found this vintage model online and liked this style bracelet a bit better. It was also $25 instead of $150!!! I will have a review on it in the near future.

How long did this last you? 👀

I had considered gettig this before and saw mixed reviews. Saw a few user vids where it didn't seem to do much but make a few small bubbles which supposedly did the cleaning. You sem to have gotten great results and I am abit of a germophobe. That black water was nasty. It would be great if you could do another demo maybe with another watch and show the thing in action. Do you really think the vibration could damage an automatic watch? And in bit unrelated question have you tried UV lights for disinfecting phones and stuff?

I e never tried UV for disinfecting. And regarding damage to the watch, I'm not sure it would be interesting to test it with a cheap watch and find out. That said my results were good, I'm happy with the unit.
