In this video, I share a few tools that make it a whole lot easier to make a game with little to no knowledge about programming or building. Please understand that this video is not explaining that you can make an insanely successful and polished game with these tools, but they can be used to make simple games while learning the skills needed to be a successful game dev.

To anyone who reads this and wants to become a game developer, start now! Roblox Studio makes game development so much easier and there is so much documentation and tutorials on every nook and cranny of the engine. They take care of all of the hard parts about game development (as mentioned in the video). If you think that there aren't any good games on roblox then you're just being ignorant. Roblox is perfect for beginners and good start for game development!
For one i think you mean 3d games. 2 you can very easily make 2d games on roblox. 2.5d game are more effected than 2d games on roblox though. I do agree that if you wanna make a 2d platformer or something then godot or gamemaker or unity are the platformers to go with. Roblox games are much easier to make though

One thing to add: sometimes people put viruses in free models from the toolbox, these can’t infect your computer but they can ruin your game and even get you banned from roblox
this wouldn't be fair, how would a creator know? Roblox should have a way of determining who was at fault
@@ryuu_spectrum it’s not fair but roblox moderation is stupid enough that they ban the people who use the models and not the models themselves
@@EZJCat2 agreed, i hopefully this will not be the case moving forward and a better solution could be put in place
i remember in 2015 i was messing around in the roblox studio and on the next day i saw that all my clothes were deleted and my body parts were all different color.. i still didnt know why
I mean, technically least that roblox tells you that there are scripts in the free models, allowing you to hopefully check it and determine is it stuffs
I completely suck at scripting but now with this knowledge i shall start my journey as a devoloper

Be cautious when using the toolbox, a few players slide malicious scripts that can give them access to your team create and even get your account banned into objects that are commonly used, so make sure to check everything thoroughly before using it.
Nah, they can't have access to the teamcreate with plug-ins and it's literally impossible with scripts.

Keep in mind that the ai feature is as helpful as actually understanding the code, as if you possibly want to go back to modify some scripts, you’ll probably have no idea on which one
First thought I had lol. How easy it would be to end up WAY over your head if relying just on the Generative AI code.

Your video is really nice, keep up the good work! As for me, you can make the last 2 games replayable by making pets and simple races in the second one and use the script from the first game to generate zombies in a random place of the map. Hope you like this idea!

@@FocusUpClips you have to add some code before the comment for the AI to go off of, which I have no idea how to do.
Go for it bro. In 1 month you will learn the basics and from there you can move on and do whatever you want and master scripting on the way
Even though I'm mostly against AI taking over art aspects, this is actually useful for trying to learn how to code. In my opinion this is what AI should be, helping people learn how to do it. Cause I enjoy the creative process and having AI do literally everything goes against why I enjoy creating things in the first place.

logically if you have access to technology that can do something difficult for you, you might as well take advantage of it
say this to big companies that preffers using the Ai which is way cheaper than an artist and does the job done 100 times faster , the robots will take over our jobs no matter what

Making an original map using the tool box is a technique called kit bashing. The real secret to game development is learning all these different tools that are used to make our lives easier and let us create games rather than create code/assets. Great video!

For anyone wondering, it doesn’t work if you just write what you want the AI too do, you want to write some code in the beginning referencing what you want the AI to do so it can take that code and improve it. I’ll put it in simpler terms as a reference. Your trying to make the AI paint something without its brush or colors.
And yes I will probably delete this comment soon because I may not be entirely correct.

you arent wrong but people say gamedev is hard because you have to learn a lot, but making it sound easy will make kids create lifeless game, like roblox simulators
You are right, I was trying to make it look less scary so that people may be more inspired and feel ready to start learning how to develop games. This could just be a starting point and over time they can make more unique games

Becarefull when using free model from the toolbox, some of the models in the toolbox have viruses that can ruin your game
also MOST of the assets in toolbox are stolen from other games and using them can get your own game banned.
Yes you both are correct, I made this video just to show people how easily they could make a little game. If anybody is planning on making a professional game they should obviously make their own assets. Thx for informing ppl
another option is to be a showcase builder, which takes alot of thinking but no coding, if you want to keep it simple

I wouldn’t rely fully on the ai, but it definitely makes the work flow a lot quicker! It’s still good to understand everything that is being produced though so that you can fix any bugs and make changes. Best of luck with your projects!!!
@@dehapy I have a basic scripting knowledge, just the ai will make my learning process of Lua faster, thats practically what I meant because ai excelles at teaching coding but not actually doing it.( added with the fact I already know javascript I think I may Lua pretty fast.)

Good video, but I want to warn you that you could get banned for using toolbox items that have been infected with scripts. I received a warning and a three-day ban, and my game was deleted for using an infected item :(

this doesn't work, i typed in 'exactly' what he did and nothing happened, i typed 'exactly all of it' in, clicked enter and nothing, i checked 3 times if ai is on and it was, i restarted Roblox studio twice and still doesn't work
Guys if you want to just take things out of a toolbox because some could have scripts that allows the creator of that model to “hack” in your game and change the model to something very inappropriate and your account will be terminated almost immediately, so be careful when your using tool box, roblox will normally pop up a message if it’s not safe but in case it doesn’t still be careful.

I've been using studio for 2 years and have absolutely no knowledge on scripting, so I've been watching a TH-cam tutorial anytime I need a script for something. But in those rare cases where there isn't a video for what I need studio ai helps a lot!

For me when I type something in the AI doesn’t pop up to ask what I do. How to fix?
I tried making it the same way that you did, but I'm unable to get the suggestions to work unless I write some initial code. Are there any other settings you have on that maybe I don't?

As a roblox developer and scripter, here is a VERY important tip: BE VERY CAREFUL on using the toolbox. Some of those models (Most of them) contain malicious scripts, and they mostly aim on getting you banned, my recommendation is to NOT use the toolbox at ALL.
Nah just dont use the ones that say they have scripts
I use the tool box pretty often, but never get anything with scripts.
I only get kill bricks with 1 tbh

@@Baller8k I got it to work! At the top it should have an assistant button. Click on that and then look in your lower right corner and your ai bot should be there to talk to. You can tell it to generate code and it will automatically create the script and put it into the right place for you. Clicking on the script link it puts at the end will bring you to the scripts location!

The AI never works for me. I enable the AI thing and restart studio but when I open a script and make a comment asking it to do something absolutely nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing??

To Anyone Wondering Why The AI Feature Isnt showing In "BETA Features" its because Roblox Have Already Added It To Studio Which Means You No Longer Need To Enable It

The problem is after you make the game on Roblox, is to find a way to make it popular, I’ve been stuck on this step for 3 months now and I couldn’t get help since.
I mean as a developer,it's kinda sad that ai will mostly be used to make game's but still it will be now easier to make games and etc.

It isn’t just get the beta feature called assistant preview and restart. Go to “test” and click assistant. Just ask it and it’ll do it for you

Copy it and put it into a new part
