For the stairs you could have just made a 45 degrees hidden collision
neat game, pretty fun and easy to play, I like how you can focus on stuff to interact with it.
for the stair problem, give the empty player gameobject a character cotroller, and change the step offset. 0.7 works good for stairs.

For stairs you can just overlay an invisible slope over the stairs and then it will be super smooth

i lost in when he comes up with a way more intricate solution on the stairs rather than just overlaying an invisible ramp on top of it like most other games do.
The guard's walking animatoon makes the game so much better.
lower your mirror resolution, disable the mirror if youre not in the room, check texture resolution and try to atlas as much as possible, mark things as batching static that don't move and you should be sweet on performance.
I work at a gun factory and can confirm that this is how our guns are made.

For the stairs you could have just taken out the colliders for the stairs and then adding one long diagonal collider, just and easier fix for you for the next time

For stairs, make an invisible collision in a straight line(so basically an invisible slope)
It’s fairly simple, the beans have metal in them that they feed to the prisoners and when they eat enough beans they get pulled up into the magnet 🧲 and they use the metal form the beans inside of them to make weapons!! BOOM THERE IS YOUR LORE FOR THE GAME :)
Make a 24 hour or 168 hour challenge who can make a better game you or chat gpt.

Matpat said the machine is creating the gun and it needs a body so it would be like 1 body = 1 gun like trading or selling
couldnt you make a triangle and make it invisible and put it on top of the stairs? or like rotate a cube to make the same effect wouldnt that work?
I actually tried something like that but the main problem I had is that my character controller would not work on slopes and I couldn't figure out why lol, so changing the gravity was the easiest solution.

@@har3nz There's definitely ways to do that, I actually have another character controller that works fine with slopes, but that code wouldn't work with this game for whatever reason

an even easier way for stairs is to take the cube and stretch it out over the stairs so it looks like a ramp. then disable the mesh renderer for the ramp. the player will now walk on the invisible ramp instead of the steps and it wont be bumpy
