Growing up in the 8 & 16bit era the Mana series has always held a special place in my heart. I just love the visuals of this game, can't wait to play it myself.
Same. I love Relink, I wish it had a bit more end game as I feel like unless I just want to min max my 4 person team. The incentive to grind Proto/Pyte etc just isn't there anymore
@@bobbym2654 I can agree. I played 150+ hours in a month and got super lucky with terminus drops. havent done Lucilius yet but I need a long break if Im gonna go back to building up anyone other than my two mains
@@bobbym2654 They should have spread the materials over several fights to add variety. It gets really boring fighting bahamut, but if we could get the terminus weapons against multiple bosses it would have been better. Can't complain though, I got my money's worth from the game.
I Love the Mana Series, from the combat, the music, the story, the whole reason I love ARPGs so much is because of the first Secret of mana back on the SNES , it was my first traditional RPG, I remember having like 80 some hours on the first game even when I was only like 10 years old. The series literally changed my life.

In the case of the mana series, it's not dresses the mean are wearing, its kilts and sashes and robes dude, not dresses. Its typical of anime style games and anime to have things like that because it's popular fantasy fashion in Japan.

I want you to keep covering this like you're covering Granblue Relink and the various Monster Hunters. This introspective has me even more excited for the game because SqEx has had a history of dumbing down Mana for no reason at all... And this looks like you're going to get to really go off when things get big. If it's got some end game like MH or GB:R, I'm done and may never come back up for air when this drops.
I really enjoyed Trials of Mana but it was either too easy or frustratingly hard on the highest difficulties because the AI was really bad. I hope it'll be better on this one
Oh god yes. Especially the bosses. At the highest difficulty you have to have picture perfect reflexes as well as min-max your skills and abilities. If you develop your characters wrong it will bite you in the ass. That damn griffon boss I could not beat with one of my teams so I have to restart and grind a certain way to get the right skill dynamic.
I really hope this game sells well. It looks really fun Edit: my only hope is that every characters class is customizable. Ive seen the main character have some customization but not so much for the other characters.

The names of the spirits in this one seems different. In legend of mana and even trials of mana remake the they were called something different than this game. The wind spirit or elemental was call Jinn. Fire was Salamander, Earth was Gnome, Water was Undine, Wood was Dryad, Light was Wisp, and Darkness was Shade
Sylphid is Jinn name in Secret of Mana. Lumina was the moon spirit. Though Lumina changes to Aura he spirit of Gold in Legend of Mana, it it seems like its back to Lumina now.
I love magical fantasy. I'm not a huge fan of these dark, gritty, realistic, bland and relatively lifeless artstyles. I much prefer something that looks like this.
No you should be fine. The different mana games arent directly connected to my knowledge and have different characters and stories. A lot of jrpgs in the past worked this way.

Recently, though I played Rebirth and Tales of Arise, both action rpgs, and I enjoyed both. It's a fairly new genre for me. I'm also looking forward to playing Granblue Fantasy relink. The combat in this preview of Visions of Mana kinda looks like that. I've a feeling I'd enjoy this game.
here's hoping that its good one woe of gaining bigger appeal is they didn't get co-op back, something that made the series unique, a co-op jrpg adventure,i hope they don't try to make for mass market appeal, that's a death kneel to a series honestly

Agreed, looks like sweet baby Inc may have gotten their hands on this one unfortunately. They went for a gender neutral character sharing male and female traits and clothes and a neutral name. It's a shame they can't design an actual iconic main character, male or female, no one is complaining about a protagonist like Aloy from horizon, as long as it is a well designed character that's all that matters
I thought the same thing. The visuals look great & the gameplay looks fun, but this character design just seemed off to me. Like they're overdoing it. Sometimes, simple is nice & gets things done just right. It seems like all character designs here are over the top, which is distracting to me. Then again, I never played a mana game, so I guess I'm not one to be able to talk here. Still, it seems like a game I would be interested in if it wasn't for this distracting character design. I am interested in seeing more of what it has to offer, so I'll see more videos of it when they come out, but I was really put off by those designs.

I just put 120 hours in trials of mana wothout any knowledge of the mana series. Then after beating my 6th playthrough I decided to search up games like it, then i found out visions of mana coming out, now im way too hyped.
Square Enix is terrible developer; cannot write good stories, cannot write good characters, cannot make good games. They been living off the glory days of Square Soft.
ff16 is special the problem is maybe just for me you can only control one and the same person and no one else thats sucks and its literally game of thrones as game and little boring with short areals
I love FF16, Dragons Dogma and Elden Ring, but it's a nice change of pace to have an RPG that's a bit more colourful and doesn't take it self to seriously. Like Dragon Quest or Ni No Kuni. And to call them "childish" is kind of short-sighted considering they also tackle some very heavy topics
another combat-style "take 30min fighting with nearly no damage by normal attacks even when you are 50 levels over the enemy" like Xenoblade 2+3... Annoying!!! :(

You should try Trails of Mana if you have a chance. It’s a good way to get you connected to the Mana lore and it’s a good game. 💯

Do not judge a video game by its artstyle, like Wind Waker or FF 9.
