I have been using a duel slash Nagakiba build and have felt like I needed something that hit heavier, although I love the bleed build-up. This build will be the best of both worlds, Thanks for the video.
I have a build similar to this but I'm running 2 great Katanas +25 with seppuku and blood affinity and the other with either savage lions claw or overhead slash and keen offinity to scale with Arcane. Proc bleed in 2-3 hits on any boss and the damage is CRAZY. Using Rakashas armor too. Might make a video on it
the purpose of dual wielding is for the dual light attack strings, if you're spamming overhead smash or lions claw then you're just losing damage by not two handing
Not spamming ashes of war but my Mimic on the other hand does. It comes in handy. I just keep hitting with dual weapons. I was just giving everything I had equipped with those weapons @@zackknipping827
The bleed buildup is insane right now on the lance sword weapon from Gaius, and while Bleed infused it still retains B scaling with strength. Might be worth swapping the katana for the lance 🤷🏻♂️
Just dislike the lance play style :(

You can actually take the ash of war of the gaius' lance and use it on a sword for a way better weapond and bleed build up
@@christiandaniello6208 Yes it works quite well. I did this on the OG greatsword and the fire knight greatsword. Ended up going with flame spear on the fire knight GS and left the Gaius ash on the OG.
Awesome build. I started with backhand blades but moved to something similar to this about halfway through DLC. I currently lean more into the Storm ash of war (mostly the Storm Blade one) using the Divine Beast helm. I tend to avoid Rakshasa armour in favour of better poise armours for PVP (Scaled Veteran, Beast, Solitude and Fire Prelate are good options for optimal weight to poise armour at lower level). I play at the PVP dueling meta (125) and found Keen infused more stat efficient for a meta build. For casual play (150+) Heavy infused is likely better as you have here. but for higher / no cap (200+) found Quality tends to become best.

They probably won’t do it like all content creators they do it to get views. They aren’t bad ppl for doing for it but tbh it’s expected since as far as content creation goes. Views are the name of the game for monetary purposes or otherwise.

Finally a secondary weapon I can use with my Ancient Meteoric Soul Edge xD
I’ve been using the great katana w/ blood affinity and blood tax aow. You get 139 buildup and combined w shard of Alexander, rotten winged sword, lord of blood and spear talisman. You can proc bleed after 1 AoW. Can also add the two handed talisman over rotten winged sword for the running poke attacks in PvP. But from what I’ve seen the two handed talisman doesn’t affect AoW. Can also switch out for the sword lance for str builds instead of dex. It has higher buildup and more pierce attacks but less AR, reach, and worse PvP moveset
Going to try this with the Divine Beast armor. Get a bonus to "storm" abilities.
only the helmet and if you go for burst damagw, the white mask is better
As an INT user, this gives me the option of instead of being bleed, I’m going for an ice build so ima change Mohg’s blood talisman to rotten wing talisman for the successive attack increase buff 🤪
hows this build with Sword Lance with Blood Tax and either infused or imbued with Blood?
I did a non broken DEX-ARC bleed build and sometimes I use this weapon and is amazing. for this STR build would fit way better since it scales B with STR
Maybe chuck an ironjar aromatic in to enable the spinning better and genuinely tank through enemy attacks?

Misconception, blood flame blade does NOT benefit from the strength scaling of claw mark seal.
What does benefit is just whichever scaling letter is more blue than the other, which puts godslayer’s seal to be a better choice for the fire damage of BFB
How would you do the stats for someone who’s level 220? I did a lot of grinding for the DLC before it came out (until people realized you needed scadu’s lmao).

I‘m playing a diffrent Build rn. Wanted to get away from bleed. Now im using the Fire knights Flame art greatsword with the Flame skewer ash of war. To that 2 pieces mesmer armor Head and chest and then the Rest is solitude. Shard of alexander Fire scorpion Crimson Amber medallion +3 and dragoncrest gs. I would like to See if u hä and Changes and if u could showcase the changed up Build. BTW love your content.
i have a question, i haven't got through much of the dlc yet, but someone told me that the white mask with sir Ansbach gear would be better for bleed rather than the Rakshasa or whatever its called, it that true?
Only incant scaling that comes from faith effects weapons buffs like bloodflame blade regardless of what seal you use or what the incant scaling number says.
You should try the build more against bosses and show us that it is weak against some bosses
what the difference between keen and strength affinity? keen also scales at B. So can I make the same damage but with dex? (sorry for newbie question)

@4:00 are we sure that doesn’t just scale with the faith portion of the incant scaling? I was under the impression strength wouldn’t increase it even on the clawmark seal.
If you look at the incant number, then respec keeping faith the same but raising strength, the incant number will go up. Raising the buff or damage of spells
I may be unclear if that's not what you meant tho
I would make the assumption that the strength focus is for the raw damage of the sword itself
@@Unknowngnostic Incant number will go up but typically weapon buffs, like electrify armements for instance, only take into account the faith portion of the incant number.

Lol builds in this game aren't hard to think up. I was running essentially this same set up with my arcane char just without rakshasha and with the dragon communion seal and more dragon incants. Builds in this game are incredibly easy to put together

It scales with Str, and you can't use BloodFlame unless it's with the Base 4 whetstone modes. Keen, Heavy, standard, and quality

I tried over ten new "OP" builds and my good old RoB build still tops them all.
I so wish that Great Katanas were strength weapons. They play much more like a strength weapon, like a heavy claymore. All orher weapons I want to play are STR so if I go Dex I won’t have the wide selection I love 😢
he went strength in this video but honestly you can also go dex. great katana needs 14 STR and 18 dex to use. You can do either or, if dex is an issue you can also use millicents prosthesis for 5 dex and keep your dex stat at 13

Couple pretty glaring inaccuracies in this video:
1) 2-handed sword talisman does NOT boost AoW, in only boosts attacks (which, I believe does include jump attacks, but don't quote me on that, given that there's a specific talisman for that already). It is a huge waste in a build that is so heavily focused on AoW spam. Don't use it here.
2) Bloodflame Blade scales ONLY with the faith component of your incant scaling. The fact that the Clawmark Seals also scales with strength has NO effect on the bonus fire damage of bloodflame blade. Bleed build up is not affected by scaling, so Clawmark is still probably best in slot for this build, as any other damaging incants you want to run will still benefit from your split scaling, but this is a very important distinction.
3) Leda's armor is best in slot, why don't people give this any love? Literally, free 10% damage boost for any attack after a roll, backstep, or sprint, and it has good stats/poise, and is clean af. Meanwhile, Rakshasa is a measly 8% bonus (yes, to all damage, sure), but in this case, only 6%, and comes with the downside of having bad defense stats. And it not nearly as fashion souls.
K, so 3rd one is obvs an opinion, but the first 2 are facts.
Beat me to it on the first two. But you are contradicting yourself a bit on the 3rd. If the two-handed talisman isn't worth using due to spamming AoW then Leda's bonus isn't that great either. Rakshasa does have bad defense but it boosts the AoWs
Leda's armor is only best in slot if it looks good with the rest of your set. And it doesn't look as good as Rakshasa's set.
also lord of bloods exultation and white mask, like if your gonna spam the ash of war it's not gonna do any blood buildup. should have replaced it with dragoncrest greatshield
Well ideally you're hitting with the AOW at point blank range where it will trigger bleed. If you're spamming Storm Blade from range, it's probably better to use the Divine Beast Head for a 10% boost.

@@DarthKido instead of lord of bloods exultation use dragoncrest great shield talisman since rakshasa armor doesn't have very good protection, and use divine beast head for increased damage of the skill. you could also put flame art on the ash of war and use flame tear and bloodsucking cracked tear in your flask.

lord of bloods exultation is an absolute terrible choice and you should just use dragon crest greatshield talisman instead. white mask is also a wierd choice cause the ash of war doesn't cause bleed buildup and you should instead yse divine beast helm. so is opaline hardtear cause it only works once just use deflecting hardtear
Multihits AoW actually activates bleed pretty quickly, and it lasts 30 seconds. That's enough time to go from monster to monster. Bosses also bleed pretty quickly with any multihit AoW.
Overall, the white mask and the blood talisman are the best choices with any bleed build.
@@Lagalpb your weapon has to touch them to activate blood loss and the AoW won't activate that unless you touch them. white mask is just ugly
@capsade yes, and 1 of those AoW will touch the enemies, the GK have a very long reach. Just because the mask is ugly doesn't mean it is not strong. I use mine with the monk armor and rakshasa hans/feet for 51 poise and it looks good together.

Nothing is stopping you from doing both. Great Katana with Stormcaller as your main with Nagakiba with Storm Blade as your sidearm. A katana for every situation.

After trying a million builds im finally bored of elden ring I have put many hours (450) into it and Iv just completely lost interest its sad because its such an incredible game. I wish i could erase it from my mind its just not the same.

Don't worry I hate it too, just gotta do what the silly algorithm demands or we get drowned out and I have to side with my teams security over the annoyance of buzzwords as much as I understand it's ironically annoying from an outside perspective.
I read the titles as a kind of tongue-in-cheek British sarcasm thing. I know that you know that no matter how strong the presented build is it isn't the absolute penultimate build and it might not survive the next patch.
The only thing that actually annoys me is Josh's ridiculously high pitched cackle, but I can live with it.

i Have question, i see lot of build, and when i see all guys take hit by boss, they lose a little portion of HP. But im lvl 349 NG+7, when i take 1 hit i lose like 40 to 70%HP or more. So all builds in youtube its for NG+0 or you can use in NG+7 ?
