100% agree, it's not a rip off, it's an original design and they've really done a great job. It's the cost that got me though, it just shows how inflated the prices are for Lego. Cada still have the outlay of tooling parts, manufacturing, designers etc yet their prices are way more reasonable. I foresee them becoming a major challenger to Lego and that's a good thing. Competition is what is needed in the brick built hobby market
Cheers, that's very kind. I may well do reviews in future, but probably only for non Lego sets that I might get for our city. Kinda like this CADA set. Especially as there are so many great reviewers out there already for conventional Lego stuff.
Thanks, yeah £86 was a bit of a gamble for me to spend on something that wasn't Lego, but I can honestly say it's worth it. The volume of parts, quality of printing and the lights. There's just no equivalence to this in Lego form. But for sure, if it's on discount get it 😊
100% yes they are, I did cover that in the review and it's certainly a valid criticism. But I give them a pass on this, as I'd rather have the lovely details and printed elements and the accurate looking pumps than necessitating they make everything minifig scale. Plus I can think of countless Lego sets that have things way way out of scale for minifigs. It's a great set and I wouldn't let it put you off considering purchasing it because of scale
@@BflyBricks The gas pumps looks nothing like the real things. CaDA went for an European look with cabinet multi-hose gas pumps similar to Tokheim Quantum and modern Wayne's pumps. The proportions of these in the model are just plain bad (too small counter and pump sections, too wide and tall hose section), not even mentioning the scale (none of the modern LEGO sets have this issue with gas pumps being the height of a building and gas pumps in LEGO sets are typically pure designer's fantasy). This set could be great, but the pumps and scaling of things make it look amateurish and unprofessional.
Imagine spending 109 bucks on genuine Lego? you'd get half as many pieces, worse quality product, no light kit, and a huge sticker sheet instead of quality printed parts.....whos the stupid one?
Great review! Was surprised to see you only have 1,000 subscribers... Hope to see more reviews from you in the future!
Love from the US 💗
This looks so good it's putting Lego to shame.
The kits do put lego to shame.
(Not Sponsored) I have some and they are equal to if not better than lego.

Nice review! I wouldn't buy it for 100 bucks or so...maybe 60 when AliExpress sales are up. Thanks a lot for pointing out all the pro & cons!

@@BflyBricks Thanks a lot! I have the 5 Cada japanese sets...loving them so far!
How is the lego figure supposed to reach for the fuel line?
There's some kind of creature stealing the bits!
😂 yeah a little menace who was very intrigued in what I was doing at the table. That's our 14month old hee hee
Great looking set, but the over sized pumps ruined it.
Feel the pumps are way off scale
