Pereira is the only one who’s been able to stay inside adesanyas range since gastelum, dude has amazing distance for pressure. He eventually pressured him into the corner he wanted him in and found the shot 💯(aswell as take him down😮)
Cause Periera has taken shots from the best kickboxers at LHW, has the same reach and height as Izzy. Unlike Gasteueluem and Whittaker
Izzy only fought Midgets until Pereira once he fought a guy his size and turned into a wrestler
Cause pereira is 6”4 and has same reach, Izzy fighting someone bigger than him in same devision for the first time in ufc
Of course his range and height helps, but that benefits you more from distance. he was closing it the whole time. Respect to both izzi and Alex 2 warriors

this was the best card of the year. theres been some good fights this year. but overall this card was start to finish insane.
I was thinking the same during round 4 as Dana. Adesanya should've pressed in Rd 4 when Pareira was so tired he didn't land a thing in that round. By waiting to counter, he gave him 7 minutes to recover. This should be the blue print to beat point fighters.

2. Recover while they wait to counter

You are making it sound as an easy thing to do, while not at all considering that Adesanya got knocked out in their second kickboxing fight due to getting overly aggressive, and also that Adesanya usually knocks guys out when they get to crazy, fx. Costa and Whittaker.
