I disagree on Polo 67 as a copy of YSL Myslf….I think they are similar, but knowing how long it takes to get a fragrance from creation to maker for a designer, I doubt Polo copied YSL…I actually prefer the Polo scent to YSL…very good everyday wear
Was hoping I’d like Eros energy since I heard it was so different than the rest of the line and I hated all the other Eros. Sadly it didn’t impress me at all. Dust collector for me :)
Hi Antonio Thanks for all the videos you make. They have helped my knowledge and styling. I would appreciate some suggestions for the best "Everyday Work Perfumes" suitable for wearing to the office space. Considering that this perfume will be used daily, could you please create two videos: a. one recommending mid-range budget perfumes and b. another featuring budget-friendly options? I currently keep Nautica Voyage (200ml) in my work locker for emergency use and have previously used up Nautica Voyage 100ml in approximately two months. I am seeking recommendations for fragrances that 1. Is neutral, 2. does not offend my colleagues, 3. Is affordable... considering I have to wear it daily 4. Long lasting and lastly 5. Recommend something I could keep in a locker and use it for an emergency useage.
I just got the Polo 67 today - No idea is it smells like Y because I've never bought or smelled it......Polo 67 is a bangin fragrance - very enjoyable to throw on any time you want to smell clean and fresh. Great price also.
Thanks for the great content. I use Louis Vuitton Meteore, and women in my life absolutely love it. Many compliments. 6 hours/4FT.. Good for casual and formal.
I think it is important to remember that there is no point to cultivate a fierce individual, unique fragrance, if people around you don't like it. I have, for example, tried Sauvage several times, when going out at night. It is not my favorite but it "has something." But people around me did not really appreciate it.
I knew my purchase for that new Azzaro EDT was justified! Say what you guys want but it smells great and I spray it on myself whenever I get the chance!
I still think a lot of it is down to personal preference and how an individual fragrances smells on your own skin. I bought Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau in a rash moment. Its ok but not my favourite by a long shot. I'll have a look out for the Paradise Garden version and have a sniff. In the last year the ones I've bought and I really like are Burberry - Hero Chanel allure Homme ÉDITION BLANCHE BLEU DE CHANEL Eau De Toilette I'm also tempted to buy the new Issey Miyake Sel I still like and also continue to buy the classics Issey Miyake EDT Acqua Di Gio EDT Penhaligons - Blenheim Bouquet and, Quercus and the odd ones from Prada or Gucci if they take my fancy.
Absolutely love Gucci guilty. I have the edt and I wear it every day, my only complaint is that I feel like it fades out way too quickly. That could just be that I’m blind to the scent after a while but I’m not sure. Didn’t realize they had a stronger version but that’ll be my next purchase.
A clone in God Tier category? Interesting. In any event, for me Absolu Aventus projects well, leaves a nice scent trail, and lasts all day. I love it, and my wife loves it even more.
Excellent list! Just one sidenote; I think there are a lot of summer fragrances in this list, giving the time of year I think more fall and winter fragrances are interesting. I'm just not buying/trying summer fragrances for 5 months or so...
Chanel allure homme sport superleggera I wore this for my wedding I had over 100 compliments, whenever I wear this to work guaranteed compliments. God tier - signature scent worthy.
Ambre Stone Eau de Parfum by Anthologie de Grands Crus and Oud For Greatness by Initio Parfums Privés are amazingly complex and have a gravity about them. Also Aegean Salt & Citrus phenomenal .
Excellent list, Antonio!! Love the style it's in and I share a lot of the same sentiments here. Azzaro TMW EDT Intense is one of my favourites of the year. You're right about the compliment factor, too!
Million Gold gets no love in the frag community, but it’s one of the most pleasing scents to come out. Greenstravaganza is a dust collector in my opinion. Prada Le Parfum should be higher on the list
I love my ADG Parfum. Mind you, I don't have any of the other AGD flankers. I want a bottle of Eros Energy, which was such a terrific scent when Intesred it.
I get it that million gold is not like any of the other flankers, and its not super "special", but i have so many other sweet frags, I like this one a lot. I got 2 compliments as well
I love PdM but did NOT like Perseus. It smelled like insecticide to me. I do have Coach Green and it is solid. I was going to replace my Eros EDT with Eros Flame but I'll have to check out Eros Energy.
FINALLY someone puts to sleep this Sauvage ultra oversaturated basic fragrance. And the forgettable list? YES! At last the YSL's and Ombre leather. Godlbess you bro!
I enjoyed this style of fragrance review. I would object and caution those seeking Loewe as a clone for Aventus Absolu. I personally love the non-elixir version and feel that is a closer clone of the OG Aventus than Esencia Elixir is of Aventus Absolu. Aventus Absolu is in God Tier - nothing can replicate but it is just way too expensive. You have me interested in Green Stravaganza - but I feel the previous 'Born in Roma' flankers are a little lame/uninspired.
List is pretty reasonable honestly. I do own Dior Sauvage Eau Forte and on my skin, I can still pick it up beyond 4 hours. Safest bet for me is around 6-8 hours. Sometimes 9. But I do agree that it’s lighter than all of them. It being water based isn’t necessarily bad because it does show that it can be done. But Alcohol opens it up more and brightens things up whereas water, doesn’t necessarily do that. I love the smell and again, on my skin, it does perform well. It’s definitely a scent and an overall flanker that is NOT for everyone. My main issue is the price. It is not worth $193. If they would’ve sold it for $140 or a bit lower, ok maybe that I can see being reasonable. I remember back when the original EDT version of Sauvage came out and you could buy a 100 ml bottle of it for only $95. Now? $130. If you ask me, it’s dumb.
I have the edt, probably had it a year or longer and it just sits on my bathroom counter collecting dust. Seems to smell great on other people but I don’t get that same feeling when I wear it myself.
I've noticed that with some fragrances, in order to get the projection after it drys, you have to endure a 1 hr cloud of top notes. I've fried my sinuses. Lol
Guys, my bday is tomorrow 😢 I want a fragrance that is versatile, performs (long lasting, projects, get compliments) please do recommend 🙏 my budget is low tho. 70$
I want a lavender scent for men. Lavender, woody, earthy maybe a little bit sweet but certainly lavender. Could you please recommend something? for a man thats 25+
Thank you for your channel and your efforts. It is about time that men just started looking after themselves, their own individual sphere FIRST AND FOREMOST (and that also includes financial, for themselves). Women worked that out decades ago, but we men have unfortunately neglected ourselves for decades… You only have to stop and look objectively at a group of people say waiting to board a flight these days, and the men genuinely look like a bunch of homeless hoboes. It is a far cry from the days of our forefathers. Come on men, let’s get our sphere back together and to a proper level. Concentrate on looking after ourselves!
Definitely got some selections. I want to try. But just curious where were you put something that is old school I still like to use Cool Water by Davidoff
Sharaf the Club is a better clone for Aventus Absolu. and after all that presentation going to middle eastern fragarnces you will find better projection, longevity and a better price. :)
Spice bomb leather and savage elixir Both smell the same to me and I can't figure out why I do not like those Like with savage elixit's her I sprayed on me andThank to myself is it gonna get better should I give it a chance I don't ki wanted to buy to like it
Loewe Esencia Elixir has three notes: patchouli, vetiver, and amber. I find it disingenuous to call it a clone. Look at the market-when someone wants to clone Aventus, they typically focus on the fruits and the woods, quite nonchalantly. Loewe mixed three notes, and you call it a clone? I disagree. It does smell similar but it got there with no intention of being someone else.
Bro, designer fragrances are so overhyped. You really need to explore Arab and niche Middle Eastern fragrances-they offer richer profiles, more complex scents, and a uniqueness that stands out. Houses like Amouage, Arabian Oud, Kayali, Ajmal, Ahmad Al Maghribi, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, Armaf, Oud Elite, Montale, and Mancera bring depth and artistry you just don’t find in mainstream designer options. Even the more affordable brands like Lattafa, French Avenue, Fragrance World, and FA Paris will make you question why you’re still dealing with overpriced, uninspired designer scents. Middle Eastern fragrances not only provide a unique scent profile that makes you stand out, but they’re also known for their exceptional longevity. These fragrances often feature powerful notes like oud, saffron, amber, and rose at their base, adding depth and richness that last for hours. While many Western designers focus on mass appeal, Middle Eastern scents embrace boldness, elegance, and intricate layers, making each fragrance feel like a work of art. Once you go Middle Eastern, it’s hard to go back!
My man always hates on the classic intense and good projecting fragrances… always goes for lighter fragrances that don’t project or he loves skin scents haha his opinion but man my fragrances are a bit different that’s for sure
A fragrance should compliment what you wear and your personality. It should not be an identifier like fox piss hanging in the room hours after you left.
He lost me at versaces new one and coaches green one, the coach green smells like straight up cleaning chemicals when you really smell it and the Versace is just too citrus for me it smells like Lysol
