Liebherr - LR 1800-1.0 First job for wind power

The brand new LR 1800-1.0 from Colonia Spezialfahrzeuge had its first job in a wind farm in Marsberg, about 120 kilometers from Essen. Around 70 vehicles transported the components for the windpower version of the machine to the site. Four towers from system manufacturer Enercon had already been erected by a Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 mobile crane with heights of up to 88 metres and were now ready for completion.
When the new machine was erected for the first time, the team from Colonia received active support from three service personnel from Ehingen and the Liebherr repair centre in Oberhausen. After around six days, the LR 1800-1.0 towered into the air with a 171 metre main boom and a 12 metre jib.

So the operation company needed engineers from Liebherr to operate the crane they own? Was this such a out-there operation for them? This crane seems to be built in order to assemble wind turbine and not much else...

Assistance by the manufacturer is totally normal for the first job of such a crane. Esp. as in this case this was also the very first LR 1800/1 delivered to a customer.
The crane can be assembled with various boom/jib combinations. And can lift up to 800 tons (albeit of course not with a 180 m boom).

Wind turbines are indeed a common task, but there are also other jobs. Here e.g. some of the slightly smaller LR 1600/2 (600 tons).

The manufacturer, give data, what load does the crane give without weight on the ground?
Or give a table of maximum load weight + crane weight and bearing capacity of the pavement under the crane.

When the Blade is fixed,they let it down at 45 Degree. After this one of them go into the Blade and unhook the 2 Slings .
