That's a nice sentiment, but I feel like there's a lot that do. Leth, Thanovic, Sunless, Wayton, CBell, to name some. They're all pretty much carrying the rocket league scene for epic. Most of the big ones minus spookluke

A long time ago I learned about monkey moon and i decided to message him and play with him back on ps4, originally I didn't expect much but he actually ended up playing a few with me even in ranked! now I can say I played with the goat before he was famous
I remember when I was on ps4 going to leaderboards, ps4 only, and seeing him like 200 mmr above everyone. Waay before he was even on johnnyboi! Crazy that you played with him though hahah.
There is just something about your storytelling that gives me chills in every story telling video. Maybe due to being very emotionally attached to the game we love so much but man - Wayton your're a genius.
It might be fun to make a documentary about joyo. He isn't the best pro, but his mechanics and the unique backstory absolutely makes it an impressive journey deserving to be told (imo atleast) :)
For sure, maybe not only joyo, but the rise of mechanics in pro play in general, since thats more on going now. Players such as dark, Nush and yes also joyo and some others are really pushing mechs to the next level in pro play

Everyone's true passion for this game. Monkey_M00n's for his dedication, you for the absolute care you put into each frame of editing, and everyone else involved in the esport and game as a whole! I was a BDS fan from day one to the end, even with monkeymonn I will have a hard time rooting for vitality, its monkey moon but ist just not bds, im sad. I will be happy if he and zen can get it to work but I will never be hyped about them again like it was during the BDS time.
only things you need to know about RLCS: 1. It's 3v3 with 5 minutes 2. NA will only win if Justin, GarrettG, or Squishy are in the Grand Finals 3. At the end of the day, Monkey Moon will win it all

I hate talking like this, but this is top tier glazing, even if he's the only recent 2x worlds winner.

@@anirudhnair3784 you dont seem to understand, Zen has had that title as well as many others like FK or recently Beastmode, that title jumps to just who is peaking at a certain moment but overall in the long run that title firmly belongs to monkey moon. Its not about his skillset alone but the way he fomrs his team and leads them since the open era always to the finals in worlds. If you wanna go by skillset and flashy mechs I would even consider Drally, Atow or even Joyo far better but they all dont have the complete package monkey moon brings to the table. That is why he is the GOAT and all others are not.
your editing is so amazing and engaging, i would watch your videos even if they were about something silly. but these documentaries are a work of art, thanks in the name of the whole RL community

What’s up Wayton not sure if you’re gonna read this but I used to play RL a ton back before epic bought it and have been off and on since then (2k hours, former GC when GC was the highest rank lol). Watching this vid made me go straight to my Xbox and start playing even though I haven’t played in over a year. Great video ❤️

I remember -- must have been 2017 or something, the 1v1 scene was dominated by the rivalry between scrub killa and fairy peak. Fairy peak eventually came out on top and remained unbeaten in show matches for almost a year, but when they were still at each other's throats, I would sometimes check the 1s ranking to see who was ahead. First time I did so I was surprised to find that neither of them were rank 1, that was held by a player I had never heard of called monkey moon. The following weeks I checked a few more times, and monkey moon was always on top except for once where he had dropped to rank 3 (but climbed back to 1 some after). I was one of the people bugging johnny_boi to get him in a show match, but johnny_boi kept saying he couldn't get hold of him

Also shoutout thrustmaster great controller, been using the eswap X for 2 years now and it still works perfectly. Buying new sticks like every 6 months has saved so much money on buying a new controller every couple months.
As a french guy, i know that we're not the best RL community ( and having that much pro players in our side don't help some of us being humble ), but no matter where you from you can't hate MM.

I was such a G2 fan, but knowing the story behind BDS, I get it. When they won the RLCS, I was really confused (wasn’t paying attention) that BDS beat out NRG and Vitality. Thanks for educating me!
I'm telling you (whoever listens), I have seen so many great players come from spending years on console and low frames with bad input latency, to flying up the ranks when they get on PC. It is the gravity chamber or weighted clothes equivalent of RL, being on a console. It sets up these players for greatness when they transition to PC.
