I want to thank you for this video I had already previously put a cable in my driver's door but my passenger door would not open and it is a lot harder to open and replace with the door shut I tried this trick and it worked so thank you again

Thank you so much! This saved me so much pain and frustration. I had the door panel half off from the inside. Mine wasn’t as easy as your video showed, but i put a pair of vice grips on the interior door cable, and vice grips on the lock bar and yanked on both as hard as i could and it popped open!!
That not quite my problem is inner cable came lose and after few hr run around and crawlin out ps door i decide to reconnect the inner cable but i could get the door open even from the outside im looking on away to remove the door panel closed rather that open as most folks with luck would find it easy to do.

This "easy fix" doesn't work on 2008 GMC Sierra .....not at all.
