    I really, really enjoyed this match. Never heard of Dan Strauss before, but his Jiu-Jitsu is impressive. Effortless and flowing. Strauss is definitely a character. For entertainment purposes, I’d love to see Jeff Glover roll with Dan Strauss.

    Strauss needs some Greco/Judo. Big tough guy sitting/pulling guard looks weak to me. Think of it as passing guard on the feet.

      @@patrickjensen8215 yaaahaaa. i think we guessed. What are they going to do though? if they attend to Standard procedure - 1.be too far out for strikes 2.be too close in (close the distance) 3. clinch and take Opponent down -
      they Need takedowns.
      any Greco / Judo Training teaches you that. Greco/ Judo is not only suited for taking People down, because they LEARN takedowns, but because they practise them, in Training AND in tournaments. Every fight starts Standing up there.
      Like a " real street fight"
      you fight like you Train in my opinion (or spar, or fight in tournaments)

    I think Keenan would sub AJ, his jits is a lot more smooth and technical plus AJ is a bit annoying taking his mouth guard out and putting it on his ear, I'm glad Strauss threw it away.lol

    Both are so good, AJ is like home town, but he seems like hes still learning,, then get into a crazy ass scrambe or u think hes about to get sub'd and gets out and is keeping he dominate position, BUT the dominate man is the other guy..very strong, and GOOD.

    I prefer AJ s style of bjj. I hate this crap where guys drop to their butt and scoot around. The other guy is skilled obviously but Jesus what is the deal with these bjj people just dropping to their ass and scooting around.

      Matthew Mauldon some competitors aren't wrestlers and rather not give their opponents the advantage of their takedowns, others just like to pull guard, and play bottom however wrestlers do make a more enjoyable and exciting match.
      But if it's guys like the miyao brother's you'll rarely see them wrestle but yet they are highly advanced and very technical competitors. Other then that this was a very good match.

      if youre too scared to drop to ur butt, then go do wrestling. There's a reason why the best bjj players pull guard, its cuz a better guard always wins. Also the main thing that separates bjj from catch wrestling is the emphasis on the guard.

    I didn't want to watch this fight just the way Strauss was acting I didn't like his attitude at all. Then I saw the Azagarm vs Geddes fight, and the countdown clip for Strauss, then I realized Azagarm had it coming. I hate bad sportmanship in jiu-jitsu

    More people need to see this, it's incredible. It reminds me of an old time bare knuckle prizefight, but with superb skill added.
    Quite a decent impact from that forearm/elbow strike by AJ at 7:22 though... Response to the "You're nothing" comments?

    1 of the best parts of watching a pride event was the crowed would be so quiet that you could hear the competitors talk shit to each other and sometimes the coaches talking smack to each other the impact of the blows i think it made things seem more personal
