    Thanks very much! I've been stuck and staring at my Honeywell Fan for weeks because I thought the plastic piece on the back grille was an integral part of the fan, so I've been afraid to take it off... I might break the whole thing. So, I just removed it - with pliers - my fingers aren't that strong. And now I have it all assembled and working just fine. I'm so relieved and happy. You've made my day. Thanks so much for your help!

    That really is an EXCELLENT fan! I have 3 of them. I bought them because at the lower speeds they ARE quiet. I have had them for maybe 5-6 years, and not a problem with any of them. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! I just noticed, mine seem to be the model before those, but basically the same, quiet, 5 speed.

    Thank you for the instructions. I have two questions. 1) my fan's rod (? is that how you described the part in your video?) sticking through the shaft is not equally aligned to both sides (fig 8 in the manual). I mean the small pins on the shaft are sticking out unequally, so one side of the small slots at the rear end of the fan is just about covered by the pin/rod, whereas the other side is more than covered by it. Is that normal? Or shouldn't it be and is it an anomaly? 2) my ventilator has a small screw instead of a fifth locking clip at the top. So there are 4 locking clips and 1 small screw (at the top) instead of 5 locking clips. Is that how it should be? I would be really helped with your answer. Many thanks.

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome! Yes, the rod (pins) should stick out equally. If they don't, try pushing the one that's shorter in (not too far) and let it spring out a few times, with a small, blunt object. A pencil eraser or something of that nature. It's possible there's a small burr on it or it's misaligned just enough to not allow it to fully release. Not sure why the screw is there instead of the clip. If it will allow you to fasten the two halves together using it, that would be fine. Hope this helps!

    • @natalieburtonpiano
      @natalieburtonpiano ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The small pins on my mounting shaft (where the fan blades lock into) are also uneven ~ one is sticking out longer than the other. It's not moving when I use an eraser or rubber mallet ... Please help! Did you get yours even? Now mine has a clicking noise as though its unbalanced...

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the rod (pins) should stick out equally. If they don't, try pushing the one that's shorter in (not too far) and let it spring out a few times, with a small, hard, blunt object. It's possible there's a small burr on it or it's misaligned just enough to not allow it to fully release.

    Hi. Tanks for the vidéo because the notice is really bad. At 2:30 can you explain where you put the washer? For me it doesn't fit because then the L shaped thing is touching the floor. Did you put the washer inside or outside?

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you like the video. The L-shaped bolt and washer is used at underneath the bottom of the base to hold the it and the lower part of the pole together.

    • @adgm11
      @adgm11 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heliflyer7 I'm not sure I understood your reply. My doubt was about the position of the washer. If I put in the order the bolt, then the washer then the base and the pole: it doesn't fit because the bolt touch the floor so the base is not stable. So in my case i needed this order : bolt>base>washer>pole. Is it normal?

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The L-shaped bolt and washer is used underneath the bottom of the base to hold the it and the lower part of the pole together. Watch the video carefully and put it together exactly like I did. The order is bolt, washer, base then pole.

    • @adgm11
      @adgm11 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heliflyer7 for me this configuration is not possible, like I said, the bolt is too long and not enough inside the base if I let the normal position of the washer. And so impossible to stay stable because the bolt, in the middle, touch the floor. It"s longer than the socle. So maybe I missed something. my solution was to inverse the position of the washer on the bolt. What I did is to put the washer to the other side of the bolt ... but it's strange . Too bad that on the video we can not see how the bolt and the washer are assembly together.

    I can't screw the L bolt in. It doesn't grab onto anything and spins around endlessly.

    • @heliflyer7
      @heliflyer7  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please make sure the pole is fully inserted into the base and look through the bottom of the base to align the hole in the bottom of the pole with the hole in the base. Carefully screw the L-bolt in at this point. As I recall, the L-bolt wasn't excessively long, so some care and patience may be required.

    I have TWO of these brand new fans and neither works. They power on but won't power the propellers to produce air and it's too late to return to vendor. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair these fans? I did a search here on TH-cam and it brought me here. I don't need to know how to assemble a SIMPLE fan! These fans have the WORST reviews/rating hand I known before buying. SMH!

    Oh, thank God it has twist and lock. The previous one didn't and did NOT stay up. And it stopped going up or down, just stayed down (elevation of fan up or down.. don't know how to describe it lol). It is quite tho.
    I needed another because this one was so messed up and it was the only one left so I had to re-buy. So extra glad it twist to go up and lock. And twist to go back. I was a bit disappointed I had to get it again but not with this new info. 😁
    Aren't you sick of fans now a days? What piece of 💩
