    Blue shirt's toss is hypnotic! It memorizes me when he tosses it for some reason-great job to both of you. I'm sure in the present day, you guys probably are 4.0+ now.

    Great serve plus one pattern at 2:45. Wide serve to open the court and then nice job using your forehand to open backhand side!

      Thank you, Meike - I actually was even thinking of that exact point earlier today. My forehand motion at the time of this video was more natural than it is now; I could maybe even take a few notes from my past self here.

    Guy in blue gets to the ball in time, then doesnt give himself enough room to hit a clear shot.. makes it very hard for himself. Very nice technique the guy in red has. Beautiful serve.

    Red shirt left handed player is definitely the better all around player. If not a full on 4.0 almost there. Blue shirt can put the ball in play well. Has his own made up technique for almost every shot. Serve is weak, forehand way too close to the ball every time, backhand path for both slice and top spin is just weird. These guys look like they are having a good time though, and that’s what matters the most.

    • @scoogsy
      @scoogsy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah blue shirt could do with several coaching sessions, especially on serve. It’s all arm for blue shirt, he needs to coil and release more from the shoulder. His technique is letting him down by pushing the ball back without adding interest. Red shirt clearly has had coaching.
      Of course great to have the players down on the court hitting balls!

    Question: have you ever trained in classical dance/ballet? They way you move and carry your shoulders is very "aligned" and it reminds me of dancers.

    • @SeireaTennis
      @SeireaTennis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Wow, a fun observation. I spent years in drum corps/marching band, where we had to train often in ballet and dance. And I continue to train acrobatics (tricking), as I have for the last ten years. th-cam.com/video/e_Xwfe0VzVg/w-d-xo.html
      I struggly immensely with spatial awareness and control of small muscles, which hurts me often in tennis, but those pre-existing skillsets have been a good springboard.

    • @hang-the-93
      @hang-the-93 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So true, I watched this and there was definitely less tennis-like movement being done yet smooth and controlled, dance perfectly matches. By how an experienced tennis player looks it is off but by how someone that moves in ballet it matches.

      DayJhreaming ok start with cross court depth. Work the ball cross court and deep until you get the short ball. Then attack to the weakness. So to attack a weakness you must know the weakness. This probing should start in warmups. Work both forehand and backhand in warmups. Try to find any chink in the armor then work hard to exploit. A lot of tennis is attacking your opponents weakness and defending yours.

    Possibly the strangest serve I've seen in a while from the man in blue. I'm not sure how that happened. In any case, he needs to learn a proper serve motion. He will always be limited by that wrist twirling serve. He will never generate pace or control. Also, he needs to use is off arm to give himself range on his forehand. Also, he needs to uncoil on his forehand. He isn't using his body at all on most shots.

    1. Backslide slice of Red Guy, has too much Hook in the Backswing.... The racquet scoops all under the ball as a result and
    lifts it up in the air resulting in a weak slice that sits up in the court. He will find out against higher level players who hit faster heavier drives, that the ball will just sit up in the court and fall short.
    2. Tapping short balls on the run does not always work. Drive through them. Aim for the Netcord. Stop all this weak tapping.
    2. Serve of Blue guy needs fixing up. Its not correct. He swings up the ball. He should switch to swinging the racquet right to left instead of lifting the racquet up and tapping the serve in, he hasn't got a proper serve..
    But look at 5.11 at this Forehand that he hits, from the corner. A penetrating flat drive. I would've done this with the Reverse Finish rather than using the normal flat finish to put more spin on the ball . But he can drive the forehand flat. when he wants to. A weak backhand slice that scoops all under the ball and lifts it up too high in the air, the Red Guy has a much more improved version of the scoop slice.]

      Two pros who evaluated me recently agreed that it'd be best to match me at 3.5, because despite my horrendous inconsistency, 3.0s would probably look at my form and be intimidated. Thus I'm matched with 3.5s and usually lose, which I don't mind at all...I crave to hit with players better than me.
      I keep videos with this length and content because I've worried that they'd be unwatchable otherwise. However, your comment feeds my fear that the content is gross misrepresentation, so coming soon are videos where I'll be including more errors, as I focus the videos toward specific things I'm working on.

      That’s not true. The guy in red is definitely 3.5 and if he just went out and hit a lot of balls and worked with a coach, he’d be 4.5 in no time with a few wins. The other guy, you would be correct.

      @@chuckfriebe843 No. While I agree that he is 3.5+, getting to 4.5 is a BIG step up. It would take a Very dedicated year or even 3 to get there.
