which stand up s are you watching that laughing at your own jokes is the norm?
The good comedians don't laugh at their own jokes. Russell Kane stands out as he pulls that horse face when doing impressions of stupid people and also does impressions of the nanny state.
I was in the audience on this one! They cut so much! At first because he was a teacher he went back out so we would all stand up for him when he came in.
I'm curious, how long are the stand ups live at the show?

I think this guy should start a TH-cam series on maps on something with someone called Jay
I don’t think that will happen. I did find a guy called Jay Foreman but he’s a musician so he’s probably too busy touring. Mark himself would never be able to handle being in front of so many people and I don’t think the series would attract many sponsors

The fact that he remains so deadpan throughout all of this is fascinating.

then i just found this vid and realized i’d seen before about a year ago, when i discovered Russell Howard, whom i just adore. he is so funny!! anyway, it’s fascinating when things click together.
i live in New York and seem to be much more attracted to intelligent British humor than North American comedians, although we do have some great ones. George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Mitch Hedberg, Sam Kineson, Bill Maher, Roseanne Barr. . .
but i really get a kick out if so many British standups - Russell, Jay Foreman, Richard Ayoade, Dylan Moran, Bill Connely, the strange Ricky Gervais, Eddie Izzard, Kathryn Tate. . . 🌹🌱
