George was one of the most underrated artists. He was sooooo talented.
I believe that's because after the FAITH album he left the US because he could handle the celebrity side of the US. So he continued to write, tour and put out more albums. but in Europe. He continued to tour just not too often. George in several interviews, which are few because he hated them too. He loved to perform for his fans, but on the other side, he said it was very lonely. He sure had an up & down career as well as personal life.
Only underrated in the US. In his homeland of the UK he's a national treasure. Not to mention that the rest of Europe and other parts of the world were always crazy about George. The fact that he's sold 115 million records in his lifetime without the US audience for most of his career is utterly stunning.
He was never underrated at all. He's considered one of the greats.
Oh yes I remember this song, now this is something I dance to. Such a great song, love it, love the feel to it. George Michael had such an awesome voice and his tone complimented Mary J’s voice. Great pick💕💕

I’m glad that you appreciate him now. I saw him in concert a few times. Once early on in his career and on the last world tour which is called his 25 live tour. In celebration of his long music career. I saw him in New York and Washington DC and it absolutely was a mind blowing concert. His voice live is the best thing I’ve ever heard. I’m grateful I was able to see him because he was a stunning vocalist and had amazing stage charisma. You can catch that entire concert on DVD. I have it and watch it often because it’s like watching it for the first time every time I see it.
This is great, everyone wanted to duet with George.. plus he’s covered a few Stevie Wonder songs, my fave he did was They Wont Go When I Go off Listen Without Prejudice album... and Stevie himself he was amazed & loved his cover.., and of course Mary J is a gem 🖤

Absolute Muppet so did i originally. When GM died they had a wonderful doc on him & had greats Like Stevie, Elton, etc listen to his records & comment.. Stevie said that was his personal favourite GM did of his & he liked it better than his own version. Thats pretty high praise!
I also thought it was an original when I first heard to Listen Without Prejudice album. That was the unique thing about George, that when he covered a song it was completely 100% his own. He had that special ability to cover other people's songs and make them sound better. My love for this artist is endless.

I started listening to Mary and R&B after my daughter was born, and fell in love with the music instantly. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, so I listened to everything from the BG's to hair bands, but never listened to R&B. When I put my daughter to bed, I would listen to R&B with her in my arms, and grew to love the music...and still listen to it today.

Funkmaster Rex that’s why I bought the one that came out in the UK so I could have this track on the Ladies And Gentlemen double disc set. This song is epic as a duet with Mary J and George. I don’t know why the US market was just so off the mark with George. Plenty of people missed out on some fabulous music from this artist.
