Very detailed review, hopefully the new rogues are going to drop soon. I'm still on 125mm randal trucks, figering out what angle and bushings I like to ride best. I have the randals about one year now, and for my speed(60 kph) they are pretty stable.
DH254, I just purchased the Billet v3 and watched your video 20× and am really kind of considering the rogue slalom do you know what the slalom measure in inches?
Do the spherical bearings come lubricated with grease or is it recommended to grease/lubricate the spherical bearings for optimal performance and longevity?
I skated Exile Hydras v2 with APS inserts and with sphericals and DT slalocybins (which have sphericals in base also) and came to some conclusions for myself. With inserts it feels like they make it easier to slide directionally. While sphericals make gripping shaky corners much easier. Actually with slalocybins it feels even more so. But I feel like sliding accurately takes more skill and controll with sphericals and for some reason I want to take grabs far more often with them. Though I feel like using them for races. I think "bump-steer" is a result of them having such tremendous rake. Felt something similar with Hydras.
@@no66 the funny thing is that I never skated trucks with tall bushings for even a session, so I can not actually tell ) But it slalocybins have lots of lean at 50/15 (as I skate them atm) and they are almost freakishly turny.
@@num_4881 Anything with spericals is going to be turny :-) I also skate slalom (cones) with GOG's at 55 / 5. With spercial most of the turn happens because the truck moves instantly compared to lag with pivots. Anyway, all interesting stuff and an elemnet of personal prefrenses. I don't get along with sliding with a rear truck under 35*
Interesting thoughts. I'll have to get some exiles to try! Also, I have some shims so maybe I should try rogues with the short bushings? haha, is it a good idea, we'll see. I def think sphericals have better performance, but they suck over rough roads ...
@@downhill254skate Rogues with conventional bushings will be a very interesting experiment. Especially if you have precise shims. Looking forward to it if you will have time.
I used to do downhill way back when randals were IT. I see now that trucks are narrower. They def look my slalom trucks. Can someone explain why they went narrower and not wider?

Much love man, thanks for the kind comment. Really appreciate that. More content like this coming soon
70 miles per hour regularly. I'm very proud of you young generation of skateboarders. Always take care.

Hehe, you will love them. Likely feel super different from the Randals, and I bet your 60kph top speed will feel much easier to hit time and again
Fantastic , insights and reviews , find it hard to believe you don't have 100 k+ followers.
This dude is brilliant but there aren't that many downhill longboarders unfortunately
Maybe one day we will be at 100k! Got some things up my sleeve that will help with that hopefully. Time will tell. Thanks for watching
You gotta try some dont trip dh cybins!

I hate watching your videos because I end up wanting to buy everything that you do reviews on 🤣
Haha, well the next few weeks are going to be horrible for you haha, got some super cool (and expensive) gear I am reveiwing

Good vid, I'll try to get footage of some of the colorado boys riding them and get their opinions
Yo, more deep trucks reviews please! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
You do great videos dude
These boards nowadays look like GIant slalom boards from 10 years ago. What wheels are you using? They look like Turner Avilas.
Was using a variety of wheels. From Venom Magnums, to Cheetah Hawgs
These rogue trucks and bear smokies are the hardest to get I've been trying since 6/20/21
They should be available soon! Stay ready with your wallet

Could it be that slacocybins are regular bushing and not tall, giving slighty more harder lean so have to grab more? Just putting it out there.

Also. I hope that everyone knows who Manu Antuna was. Pioneer of the slide into turns.
Is the Manu Antuna on TH-cam the same guy?

great review!
Nice review!
Good work thank u sir
This is unraleted but where should the trucks be placed, in the front 4 bolts or the back ones
Uhh ... could you rephrase your question?
@@downhill254skate sorry lol, what wheel base option is best for downhill. For example, in the cheese grater, where should the trucks be placed.
@@Bigdaddy-vx9lz depends on your trucks. Can't go wrong with a 24-25inch wb tho
What a nice review🔥🔥
You only need a toe stop to use them. And a popsicle deck.
Great review! Stay safe.
It is cool but i cant buy them. You should do a raffle lol
Just buy randal 125mm trucks they do a great job too😂
A part of me wants to sell them so I can buy other trucks, but I don't think I'll ever get the opportunity to own a set of these again ...
@@downhill254skate I feel that given your location. We can’t buy them in The states either lol.
