  • Brett Lloyd started out working with racecourse bookmakers and getting a few marks. Everything changed for him when he got involved in the early days of betting in running, owning horses, landing gambles and buying sports cars with cash followed. He also worked as a bookmaker on the trotting circuit and on the rails at Cheltenham.
In Part 1, Brett talks about what he does for a living, his early days working with bookmakers and punting on course, discovering betting in running which changed his life and put him in the big league.

My Great Uncle Dudley was the best gambler I've ever met, dogs especially. Every time I went with him, no matter what track we went to, he'd always say hello and have a laugh with some face in the crowd and invariably win. I dont think I ever saw him lose. Always worth knowing a man that knows.

Here’s a thing, look at the houses in the background shots of the Bookmakers and the Punters and tell me who’s winning( take out the very few exceptions)

I remember that they used to talk about him on the Betfair forum as an obviously big winner. People who are still winning now probably just play a lot smaller, with a different strategy.

There was a few big time flash-in-the-pan successes in the early days of bf, I remember the early tennis traders. I suspect that few of them have survived.

There's someone on BF who bets in £ 111 ,£ 222 ,£ 333 etc and has done for years even now. Must be another trader. Good stuff.

@pauljones5066 Not " everyone " can afford to bet in hundreds at a time so I've missed your point there. Especially laying. Well , I'm on BF everyday and use software with preset stakes. It's a lot faster than you ever could using the BF site directly, even if you do just have to press 3x times.
