@meyqool thank you! I was considering buying a veeeery expensive rooftop tent first, but did I mention that they are expensive? So this would be the second best option for me lol. I like the setup you did, I think I'm going to borrow that idea. How is the cold/warmth in the car at night? So far you're the only one that I've found that uses a Sandero as a mini camper😂
@@xTESSAAAAAx I suppose it depends where you plan to travel, the car doesn't bring much heat if it's cold outside (I don't use the heating / gas), but it's generally a bit warmer inside. What I recommend is having a warm sleeping bag, like 0-4°C (-20°F) if it's going to be cold, and then it's totally fine ! Or you can build a roof tent... 😛
hey well done on a great conversion and video. l have a sandero and have been thinking of trying to do this would you be willing to share the plans for some recompense?
Very nice video & great idea! I also plan a transformation from a normal dacia sandero to a camper. I will remove the passenger seat in the front completely to have more space for a water tank.
That's a very wise idea 👌🏼 That's where I'm storing my water reserve, but with the seat in place, I often wish I had taken it out ! Thanks for your feedback, and post some photos of your installation sometime ! ☺️🥳
I think it's different, but not 100% sure of the correct english expression. In French it's 3-ply wood (3 plis) which is a "plywood". It's made of gluing together 3 layers of wood (in this case spruce). That being said from what I see, CLT should provide a very similar result. But I'm not a wood expert ! Hope this helps you a tiny bit.
@@meyqool Wow, I was not expecting such a quick reply. Thank you Mickail! Would you be able to share the Tinkercad plans with me? I was thinking of starting from scratch. Although, what you've done is already so well thought through I can't think of much to change... I also have a Dacia Sandero (2020)
@@brandon853 Glad I could help, it turns out I'm working in front of the compute right now. I replied to your eMail. I wish you great success, surely this design can be improved in many ways, let me know when you do ! ✨✨✨
This is amazing! I have the same car and I always thought it is to small to tur into a useful camper. But the way you did this looks fantastic. How much did everything cost you in total?
Hi Eva, thank you for the positive feedback ! Yes even a small car usually has enough length inside for a full humans body's length... The cost for just the wood structure was around $250 if you count the wood shop's work for the boards, plus the varnish, glue, and various fixations. The electric system is a bit more expensive as the battery is not cheap ! Let us know if you decide to make something !
hey man, thank you for the feedback, so nice to hear you wanna try it in your same car too. can you send an email to meyqoolhomefree@gmail.com with what you need and I'll get back to you. send me photos of your construction once you succeed, I'll post them in a video somewhere 😁
@@dominikotten9283 well Stepway being an upgrade from mine, I'm surprised it can do anything less, but I am not familiar with that model - on the City+ you just rotate the knob and it keeps going down like that 😬 maybe a jackhammer is needed 🫨
Hey Frans ! If I drive like this, yeah ! But I barely ever drive like this, the passenger seat board is dismounted and retracted to the back. The passenger seat usually just has 2 small backpacks while driving. But thanks for pointing that out, that would be a massive security flaw indeed 😌
You made it so funny thank you so much for your video ! I’m gonna try to transform my sandero for this summer 😍
Thank you, and that's very exciting, I hope you share some pics when you have something ! Enjoy, but careful, it's an addictive project ! 😛
Cool! Still looking for ideas to make a mini camper out of my 2010 sandero, this helped a lot, thanks!

How did you bend the seats like that? in my dacia its only a few degrees
Is it also a Sandero ? What year ? This is a City+ from 2020 (Sandero 2). You mean it only goes a few degrees back and blocks ? 🫨
