He chose to stay behind of his own volition to ensure Osvald’s escape, and acted like he was merely rebelling against Osvald’s plan rashly so he wouldn’t try to save him and risk getting captured or killed again.

Poor Emerald, should've stayed with Osvald until the end..until I know there's actually tragic backstory behind his sacrifice
You can even meet his mother in Timberain, worrying about her son... which is sad :(

Osvald voice is crazy. Sometimes, he sound like Ray Chase, even tho it's not him. Love this character
