Michael was otherworldly when he was a kid. Child prodigy personified. His childhood was stolen from him, and we all benefited from it. When he performed, whether live, or in studio, he NEVER, EVER cheated the audience…..

Michael Jackson's singing voice is the definition of "Etheral": extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world. 🤗😍

Young MJ’s voice was so bright and clear; he had such a beautiful tone and delivery. I read that some of the Motown producers banned his father from recording sessions b/c he hit MJ for wanting to do different takes. MJ was a perfectionist even at a young age, but his dad was concerned about the cost.

His voice then put wings on your feet, and just takes you far off to that magical place you've never been before within. And what's so amazing is that supernatural voice still almost have the same impact today as it had 50 years ago. He will have fans for generations to come.🌹

In this song my favourite part is "the moment i know she loves me". The emphasise on me is fabulous and the line is sung with love. The other song of his i like is with The Jackson Five "let me show you the way". The way he sings "please please please", is also expressing love.

The first 45 single I ever purchased on my own as an 8 year old kid was “Rockin’ Robin” I was too young to remember if it was on the same album, but I remember I asked my mom for a $1.00 so I could buy it. My first singles from the J5 were actually the free cardboard singles of ABC that was on the back of the Alpha-Bits cereal box! That was in 69 when I was 5.

Someone described his voice as having perfect pitch just effortless in his delivery people always use the phrase as a person being so musically gifted that they could sing the phone book but it's quite obvious he could sing the alphabet and every song he ever sang an me being a witness to his extraordinary talent knew from off the bat that this young man was going to be a force to be reckoned with and a feast for the ears often IMITATED! never DUPLICATED!

I get the exact same supernatural description you describe in this song, and also, when he song 'Ben'. Being that I am in Michael, and his brother's age group, I find myself being more drawn into early Michael, and the J5's early songs, although his adult artistry was next level.

Just hit another homerun!... For me, "Got To Be There" was Michael's finest solo performance. Dax, I'm really glad you grew up listening to these songs. Your vivid memory of those days and how the music made you FEEL, is what really makes YOUR reactions the most relatable and authentic. :)

      Thanks very much, Reggie.
It might be his finest solo performance, it is so incredibly emotional and moving and simply gorgeous. His voice is out-of-this-world perfect.
But he had so many incredible performances during his teenage years, it’s hard for me personally to say. I’ll be doing many more reactions on him during that period.
      Thanks again, my friend 😉

What's so incredible so many other young singers were coming out at the sametime... but didn't have the staying power of MJ or talent.
Foster Sylvers, Donny Osmond and Ponderosa Twins Plus One.
In addition, the Jackson 5 background vocals are like angels. I'm sorry to say, MJ with the Jackson Five sound better than MJ solo.
