This is a great compact SUV, esp diesel GLK 250 with its high torque does not stress the engine at all. Solid , heavy and exceptionally fuel efficient. I get 33 mpg combined. Yes.
50% highway and 50% city. Amazing SUV. The new GLC will not hold as much steady. The new Mercs are high in tech but this GLK250 shows how the merc's were built and what made mercedes famous. Not lane assist (which even nissan rogue has) but the well engineered german cars that make you a proud owner.

Kinda crazy I get 25 mpg tops. Usually 22 in the city. I must drive like a lunatic? I don’t think I’ve ever seen over 30 on my 250

Very well done and balanced review. Pros and Cons accurate. I recently bought a used GLK 250 and am loving it so far. The car is an absolute joy to drive.

I love the look of the GLK250. I probably would've bought one if they still made them. But glad I waited and bought the x3 BMW. Still, enjoy your SUV. It still turns my head everytime I see it driving by.

I just bought one as well to take skiing and not wreck my 440i with the kids skis etc. I test drove a bunch of different SUV's from various manufacturers from older ones with high km to almost brand new and this one was my favorite of the bunch. I am hearing so many good things about this car and I am excited to pick it up next week!

@@annettehall1569 I got a 2011 GLK 250 CDI and a 2008 X3 2.0D (modified to 200 HP). Handling and grip of X3 is incredible for that class. But the comfort and the quality of GLK really makes you feel special..

Great car except for one thing:
The review view camera, which is a must for SUVs in my opinion, only comes with Multimedia Package ($2860).
Really Mercedes? It's now 2014 and it doesn't come as standard on every car?

Was this review done in Federal Way, Washington? At 11:51 that park reminds me of the same exact one that is 10 minutes away from me

Great review.Nice to see you reviewing cars that we in the Tri-State area will actually purchase. My only question is how does the GLK rank as far as sportiness compared to the Q5 and the X3. Is the steering better than the last version and/or better than the steering on the Q5 2.0T? (That's not terribly difficult. The steering on Q5's without "Audi Drive Select" is horrid)? And how far does the steering wheel extend out. Is it as max with you driving?

Is the steering wheel softer than a c300 model? Or is it the same?

Although I really love the look of the GLK250, I glad they stopped making them. It is not comparable to the x3 BMW. At least not the 2020 x3 BMWs.

@@bootuhile9856 I got 2008 X3 2.0D Xdrive mod to 200 HP, and it rides like a sports car. But my 2011 GLK 250 CDI really has a much better quality and has a smooth ride. Although they're of the same class, their characters are quite different. So, I would not put one on top of the other..

You are glad they stopped making them because you bought a BMW? That’s a stupid statement.

  • @christianvik3400

The sports seats are no good, the door pockets much too small, the trunk is to small and the petrol motors are not up to other German brands.
