I work for gm dealer from 2005-2010 we never left the old ecm in the car for programing always put the new one in and just type the vin manually, ive been programming ever since then widley used modules and always have the used module in and write the vin im not sure why you were having issues its always been able to manually write vins. The only thing that has changed is around 2013 the global network

Your videos are awesome! Handy to know that the "block" can be beaten by calling Techline Connect, but do you have to be a certified/credentialed/licensed technician to get them to open up your account for a day? I'm talking about your changing out the Duramax 3500 PCM without having the original available. I have a used PCM that I would like to VIN match and install all the software related to my current VIN, which happens to be a 2014 Duramax 2500, but I'm not a licensed technician - I have all the OEM equipment to program with but I can't get around the blocking right now. As an alternative, do you know whether or not the E86 PCM can be cloned using the FC-200? I've tried your email but I can't figure out how to send $$ your way - can you enlighten me on that, too?

i just do it key off. manually input the vin. go through the selection and than turn the key on than override it when it says that it rides a different vin. look up Keith Perkins
with the latest version of TLC once you have "key off" and TLC can't see or verify VIN it instantly closes, I've tried on multiple vehicles same result. I used the method you describe before the recent updates.
@@globalcommerce7654 i just did a 11 sierra ecm used that how i do it. been doing it for a while now. normally it will automatically pick up the vin i just type it in and go from there. i will post one tomorrow showing how i do it. learn that trick from l1 automotive training

Wait so TIS200 could program a ecm in my 2005 Tahoe that the previous owner installed of a panel van its causing some electrical issues and also when you plug in and obd2 it says its a panel van
Hello, is it possible to make this change with a used ecu? I have a P0010 fault, I changed the solenoid, checked the wires, everything works perfectly, the solenoid works, I can hear the variation of the camshaft when I do the test, the position information goes back well with gds2 but the fault always comes back

@globalcommerce7654 ahh okay. I'm trying to add Fog Lamps to my 2017 Chevy Sonic, but the dealers can't program the BCM without an Auth code cause ACDelco sucks and won't make a VCI for my car with fogs without the code
