Is it possible to reduce the amount of filtration and cooling required? Also how often do plant shutdowns have to occur for periodic maintenance? Looks like it would get extremely messy internally.

Nice video. We use the fast pyrolysis plant Fpp02 for recycling wood waste . Reactor 500 kg/h. It turns out liquid fuel for hot water boilers. From wood waste during pyrolysis, pure charcoal is also obtained. I think pine needles are a good raw material for pyrolysis.

Hodně zajímavý projekt. pokud vše bude fungovat tak jak má, řekl bych, že by to mohlo mít budoucnost. Postavil bych to blízko čističky odpadních vod, či bioplynky a využíval odpadního plynu jako je metan, bioplyn na výrobu elektřiny na to prvotní zahřátí a veškeré teplo potřebné.

Back in 2008 I helped and I do use that term loosely to build a plant in Sapulpa Oklahoma that did this very thing but not quite to this extent the oil we produced was diesel grade or better the steel we recycled from the tires was stainless steel the carbon we separated was fine enough that we would receive more monetarily for it then we would have the oil and the propane it made was not clean enough to sell but it was clean enough to run the plant thus making it self-sufficient....

@@nicktorea4017I'm sorry Nick I don't even though the plant was shut down management and employees signed a form agreeing not to share any information about the project besides that I'm not the one that would be able to tell you about it even if I could because I was far from the most knowledgeable and intelligent one at that plant LOL but this plant had it not been for the market crash of 2008/2009 would have been worldwide by now it was the intent of the company to put 50 plants in the United States and then go international and start manufacturing these plants or placing them in Italy France Britain everywhere else around the world and the key contributor or the money man behind this project was in fact Aubrey McClendon who you may or may not know was the founder of Chesapeake energy here in Oklahoma so I am firmly convinced that under his guidance and direction this project would have exceeded everyone's expectations.

In a well engineered pyro system a waste stream like tires would be chopped into smaller pieces and batch fed into a closed vessel. The tires do not catch on fire, there can be no fire in this no oxygen environment, but are heated by carbon electrical arcs to 10k to 50k degrees. The tire materials atomic structure is decomposed and disassociated into a plasma synthesis gas. This gas is given a water bath, cooled and is fed into an internal combustion engine. Plasma is a very clean burning fuel but the output of the genset can be fed back into the vessel and processed. This is a "no emission" system. The output of the genset can power all the electrical needs of this system plus putout 14 megawatts onto the grid. These figures are from a small 10 ton per day unit. In a municipal land fill situation multiple units can be setup to destroy different feed stocks. One could be setup to consume plastics. One would consume construction debris, and another for household waste. Concrete/ rock materials will collect on the bottom and ducted out into a Watergate and the output vitreous glass beads can be used for construction or soil amendment. Metal also flows out at a different level and re smelted. Anything organic in nature would turn into gas to keep the whole process going.

No. The steel wire can be dragged out for sale after pyrolysis. Or you can use steel wire drawing machine to remove the steel wire out before pyrolysis.
